Roosters just sent out a media release saying Todd Carney and his manager David Riolo have asked the Roosters for a release from his final year of his contract and the Roosters have granted him that release. Should be interesting to see where he goes. I'm willing to bet he has a deal already done.

Sigh, I feel sorry for Brian Smith, he did a great job getting him off the drink last year, and got Todd playing to his potential. Todd then goes into the Australian camp and drops the ball. Has all the talent in the world, but obviously he doesn't care. I think he'll look back at his career in 15 years and wish that he kept himself off the drink, he would have half a dozen origins under his belt already if he had, but now he's looking for a job.
