what is the difference between an athlete playing league and a genuine footballer?

genuine footballers get better with age!!

Payten (& Fulton for that matter) are footballers through and through - not just big athletic meatheads!

WOW i must of really upset you todd…i mean to send me abusive PM's about an opinion, you must either be todd or have a secret crush on him... bottom line is out of our starting pack he makes the least amount of metres which is bad because no one in our pack is a huge metre eater anyway......he isnt as good a defender as gibbs heigno ellis fulton... i mean if he ran straight instead of diagonal lines all the time he might crack 100 metres in a game more then once or twice a year.

He simply isnt putting out the numbers to warrant his salary...plus he getting on in years now..... i think its time for him to move on

oh and BTW what makes you think i give a rats about what you or any other person thinks of my comments...its a forum for a reason mate...to have opinions..... and i think todd is our most expendable forward based on output age and value for money...

if we released payten we would only have to find about 50k to snare blair or a forward of his stature

No I am not his bodyguard. Ron is entitled to his opinion whether you like it or not. If you don't like what ron is saying, then add him as foe so you don't see his posts. He has already suggested this to any member who does not agree with his posts.

Show a bit of maturity and ignore him if you don't like the foe option.

its not ignored mate…ive been banned and put on mod preview more then most on here.....just saying there is no need to send a pm reverberating what you already posted in the thread even if it was condenced to one rude inpolite word.....

if we all agreed on everything it would be quite a boring forum right....

Back on subject, I hear your position re value and return, but is the risk worth taking by bringing in Blair? I'm starting to see a real poor attitude from him, Lima & Manu, and what concerns me more, is they don't seem to want to listen to Smith. Those 3 at the moment seem to have this attitude that they are bigger than their team?

I wouldn't want that culture being bought to the club, as there is apparently already friction between Blair and Marshall, with the end result being distabilising.

I know others that have been banned without an avenue for recourse or reinstatement - how did you manage to get back on board?

Having said that - I respect your right to your opinion regardless of how inflammatory they may be.

As long as you don't death-ride OUR team in order to justify an opinion you will always be a respected comrade in this select group who are Tigers supporters!

Just responding to ron in a conciliatory manner - why would that be deleted or considered off topic?

As for Todd - IMO our best buy in 2004 given his quality and longevity (ahead of Prince, Hodgo, Patty & Spud).

Yeah the discipline is gone now theyve nothing to play for….

Even cam smith is being a bit of a smartarse....heard him mention something to the ref tonite about some calls "not being real fair...."

Theyre the problem team/club every amayeur competition has....even this so called professional comp
 
Cam has been playing that poor-us card with the refs for weeks & his smart-arse garbage with the media is just there to deflect from him being the greatest colluder & recipient of the rorts!

Lima has looked disinterested all season (even before the bombshell)! When Norrie takes your spot you are going s***house!

actually geo all i did was give my opinion then had several personal attacks made against me for that opinion….so tell me how it was that i made this thread about me? it was the other posters making personal attacks at me that made this thread flare up....

also 72 metres a game is crap so is 67 metres a game....difference is one is 31 years old the other is 24 and about to come into his prime
