So with many of his young cubs hitting the NRL in the next year or two what will become of Todd Payten? Will he remain as the NYC coach or will he become more involved with the NRL and less with the NYC? Now the young guys must be training together to some degree and the NYC do play on the same day/place (weather permitting) as the NRL so he could hypothetically keep the NYC job while lending a hand at NRL level with his graduates.
 
Great point! Especially with these young halves, which is a position with massive pressure, he could help them on game days playing FG to make them more comfortable, ease their nerves and even give them tips at the half.

I thought he already was an assistant of some sort with the NRL side? He's always on the bench on comms

No rush for Todd. Needs some bad years too to help his experience. Still very young as far as coaches go and once he steps up there's no turning back if he isn't ready
