I’m looking forward to see what role TT pays off the bench this weekend.

Watching the broncos tonight they had at least 3 big injuries. So TT is a great option to cover almost the entire backline if there is an injury.

However, fingers crossed there are no injuries, that’s when it gets interesting to see where and when he comes on.

My guess is he comes on in the last 10 mins of each half and plays (you guessed it) a ball playing lock.

Ive said before that TT has the size. He’s bigger than both Radley and Murray. And he has the skills playing 5/8 growing up.

For some reason there’s some on the forum that get so worked up about 1 outside backs moving into the forwards and 2 ball playing locks. But let’s see where he plays on Sunday.

I think that TT will play 5/8 and Mbye will slip into the hooker role to give Liddle a breather.

Yeah that's the other option. And your probably right.
Just feels a bit messy for me. I would of put simpkin in the beech if its a straight swap at hooker.

I think that might happen after Simpkin has played few more games.

I see Talau coming in to play 6 and mybe to hooker. Although will be interesting to see if they play Talau at lock late in the game, last 15mins or so

Watching & coaching against Simpkin in the junior grades, Simpkin has come back a yard or so off the pace, many are excited by him now & he has not shown much yet in Tigers colours. When his timing is right people will see what he is capable of & he will send this place into meltdown. He will get his chance but not yet, the team needs to be selected on performance not promise.

To me Simpkin looked just as good if not better than Liddle in the trials.

I thought he played more as an individual but that’s to be expected when he is trying to impress the coach.

He made that one stupid run from dummy half that was a hog play but apart from that he was really good.

I agree, and for all this talk about Liddle having excellent service I though Simpkins was just as good, although Liddle deserves the 9 jumper for now.

Liddle does have excellent service though . And Simpkin has very good . Both things are true . There’s a time in the not too distant future when we will be debating who starts and finishes games , because they will both be killing it . And I can’t wait !

People on here act like he's the best passer of all time... his service in the trial was good, but he also threw a few off the mark, same goes for Simpkin. Eventually they'll both be in the top grade I reckon

He’s the perfect option off the bench against tired defence IMO

And depends which game you are talking about, I’m mainly referring to the roosters game. The manly one is hard to judge as we were dominant from start to finish

Just a thought, Madge wouldn’t have persisted with Liddle this long if he didn’t think he had it.

He’s what 24 now and it honestly still feels like his rookie year

Liddle has great service but every so often he throws a terrible pass. Liddle is very good and deserves the starting spot for now but Simpkin could take that position at any point.

I'd love to have then both here for a number of years.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see Talau start with Mbye on the bench. Mainly on the basis that he had a run in the trials whereas Mbye is probably a step behind on fitness.

Liddle has plenty of talent and by the sounds of it is a very strong trainer too. Tamou said he's the fittest at the club, so I reckon he'll be pushing to play 80

I said last week that Talau would come on late in the half and play a ball playing lock role. Everyone said that he'd play 5/8.

But he came on and didn't replied liddle or mybe, instead played a roaming forward role.

Looking at the side for this week, with TT on the bench along with Mybe, looks like he is (pending no game injuries) looking to play in the forwards again.

I've posted previously that TT is bigger than both Radley and Murray, runs hard and played 5/8 growing up, so could be the ball playing lock we've been looking for.

At any rate, it seems madge is keen to find a role for him somewhere in the 17.

Pretty obvious he will play back row. He can cover for other positions if injuries occur but he is being groomed for the back row.

PS go find a Liddle thread people .
