The young bloke has potential it would be a shame if he left us and went to the Storm or raiders and reached his potential because he had better players around him to learn from.
This club has learnt nothing from 2005 onwards.
The forwards not getting over the advantage line don’t make you miss tackles and drop the ball.
defending next to Mbye, who tackles well when he makes contact, but isnt even in the picture often as he is a serial offender for shooting out of the line, would make you doubt yourself in the defensive structure... that chipping away at the confidence of a rookie probably plays into the dropped balls.

That's the hardest part about 2020, trying to figure out if the negatives have been created by or exacerbated by COVID. It can only be more difficult if you have no other experience to fall back on.

It’s a really good point.
It’s why teams that had successful younger squads are doing so well this year.
Don’t ask me for exact numbers, however.
Sharks fielded a team with maybe 10 of their 17 players having played in the jets grand final. I think that was vs Brisbane.
In addition, Jets Played wentworthville in the GF. Now Parra haven’t had to bring too many of their lower graders through however the first grade team trains knowing their are capable players willing and waiting.
The bunnies and raiders, both played in the under 21s flegg final last year.
Considering the above and considering the fact our Flegg / NSW Cup team went through a massive turn over from last year.
Then our first grade 17.
Turnover from the following year alone were;
Matolino
Liddle (mid season)
Farah
Rochow
Fonua
Masters
Matterson
Thompson (early release)
Momoriski
Simpkin
Walters
L Leilua
J Leilua
Doueihi
Musgrove (Reregisterd)
H Grant
Blore (Mid Season
Asu Keopoa (Mid Season)
Hoffman
MacIntrye (upgrade)
Seyfarth
It would be fair to say that from lower grades only McIntrye, Seyfarth and Liddle have played together. (And Tommy)
The remaining that have made our game day 17 that have had a game together prior to start of 2020 are;
Consistent In the 17 in 2020
Mikale
Twal
Aloia
Garner
Nofo
Brooks
Mbye
In and out of the 17 in 2020.
Lawerence
Benji
Chee Kam
Taylor
Eisenhuth
Packer
Reynolds
Clark
Forgot Talau. His part of the turn over group up above with only one game last year in the NRL 17.

The common factor in all of these years HAS BEEN THE CLUB! Instead of blaming the young-and-upcoming players for their failure to make it, maybe those in charge of bringing new talent forward ARE FAILING!

for this kid. You either want to pay top dollar for established first graders or keep developing our players. People complain about over paying and then complain when a 10 game rookie is not up to speed yet. He’s coming into a poor team it’s not the Panthers or Roosters.
I have no problem with this at all and agree with the logic of it, but PLEASE let it be the end of the ridiculous "Talau is our long term answer at centre/5/8". Seriously he is tentatively hanging onto a first grade spot on the wing, a MILE away from showing he would be a worthwile centre let alone 5/8.
That is true but name a better centre option at the club on the left. My eyes tell me he will be our best junior outside back in a few years. He’s playing light at 90 odd kegs and I believe he put in 10 over the past year. I don’t think he’s physically ready yet he’s a year away. We have no other options and no reserve grade. I’d persist with the kid he has some ticker.
I like the Kepoa kid also he has talent and Kei who has not yet had a crack. Seasons done some of these kids need a crack.
