watching the cricket show this week and tubby taylor was telling a story about warnie and brian mcmillan from south africa. warnie was bowling and big mac just wasnt picking them and missing everything so warnie being warnie started yelling out what he was going to bowl every ball before he did so. eventually big mac got sick of it as you would and backed away. Warnie said something along the lines of didnt you hear me big mac i said leggie or something not realising that despite being the last test the aussies were due to travel to south africa in the next few weeks big mac piped up and said "plenty of people die in south africa every day, one more isn't going to make a difference" you can just imagine what was going through Warnie's head after hearing that

Another RL one I like was when Mark Riddell first came into grade he was playing the Knights and lining up a shot at goal. Joey couldn't resist having a crack at him about his weight, and asked "hey Mark, are you going to kick it or eat it?"

Reminds me of the MacDermott and Arjuna Ranatunga issues when Arjuna said "You'll take your life into your own hands when you come to Sri Lanka"

Then got sprung and said he told MacDermott "you'll take your wife into your hands when you get to Sri Lanka " and got away with it

The other cricket come back I always liked was the late David Hookes when replying to Tony Greig's banter during the Centenary Test
