Top Ten Toughest

Farah is carrying us busted to an extent this year to CB….good choice....

Kevin Locke would have to be in with a shot of late....maybe not tough but gutsy...

What about Benji?

Has had to come back from what 5 shoulder injuries?

Add to that he played St George in 06 with a busted jaw to win us the game.

Josh Dugan
Jonathan Thurston
Chris Heighington
Alan Tongue
Nate Myles
Preston Campell
Ben Hannant
David Stagg
Nathan Hindmarsh
Ben Cross

Not so sure about the 5 shoulder injuries, each injury took him forever to return from, its not like he played carrying them. Will pay the busted jaw though…

Yeh but I see it as more of a gutsy effort to comeback from those injuries after it happening so many times.
Also on occasions he has comeback with the shoulder knowing that its going to go again eventually so i see that as a tough gutsy effort to keep playing every week knowing that at any moment the should could go again.

Steve Matai top 10 toughest players ahahahahahaha lets put in terry hill.

I think it's because he always gets injured or always plays with injuries but he trys to keep going.

I'll second the first post…...Bahahahahahaha Matai is a total waste. Every time he tries to make a tackle that he misses he grabs his neck and shoulder. Then five minutes later he's back up running around. Total waste of space along with that imposter Williams.

Top ten for mine

Ellis (remember when he spat his tooth out??? Puke!!!!)
Heighington (always plays his guts out)
Stagg (smashes himself stupid every week)
Hindmarsh (Makes a thousand tackles every week)
Tongue (See above)
Civonevica (Just keeps going and going)
Kimmorley (Not only does he tackle his guts out, and tries his guts out he still plays while getting treated like rubbish by his clubs)
Campbell (smallest player in the comp and gets smashed but keeps on going)
Gallen (only hard because the man's a lunatic)
Parker (always solid and always tackling)

Now if it was in recent times…..DeVere!!! Remember when he had that staple hanging out out of his head!!!!

It wasn't his tooth.

I was surprised Thurston kept playing after getting the nutcracker from Gareth.

Please define tough. Is it durable - intimidating - consistent - strong - longevity - above your weight?

How does Dugan get a run on any level? The kid is all class but not overtly tough!

How about:

Lockyer
Parker
Campbell
Civoniceva
Ellis
Farah
Tongue
Stuart
Douglas
Young

It isn't easy - but all my picks have durability & longevity.

You just have to look at his tackle on David Taylor last year to see how tough he is.

Some good selections there. I had Tongue, Lockyer & Campbell in my Top 3 Toughest…

I dont think anyone else has listed John Morris, but I think he is one of the most durable Footballers in the Comp. The Tigers were lucky to get 3 straight years out of him, and thats no easy feet in the NRL...

i don't think john morris is essentially tough but the guy is has something about him, he's not the best player and ain't going to win any medals but he worked really hard for the tigers consistently.

I vaguely remember him knocking out thurston just as he got a kick away once upon a time when the kickers weren't given a protective force field. thruston was curled on the ground like a mofo lol glad to see him going well at the sharkies!

What about Sammiee Burgess, he is the toughestttt out of all. But maybe gareth ellis is tougher I'm not sure but all I know is Burgess and ellis are one of the toughest or maybe the toughest.

I gave it to Ellis ahead of Burgess on the measure of longevity. Sam is just starting his career.

Lockyer

Lockyer is a standout when it comes to toughness… Anyone who has defended as a 6 over the last 20 years will know how good he is. Always punching above his weight, and has never been one to sook or milk a penalty...

That is why he is already an Immortal!!!

Anyone who had Parker, Carroll, Gilmister Thorn and others as minders…. doesn't really have to tackle...

Should give T'eo the Job...
