Anyone play?

How long and at what level?

I started playing earlier this year, loved it.

Started off playing in a social comp, then played at uni games (as a winger), then started playing in a low level local comp. But I trialed for a an Open Mixed State Cup team and got selected in the final squad. Will be playing at the State Cup next week (playing as a middle now)

Created a team in Gladstone which now has been going for about 17 years There is only one original left my brother in law

I was telling this story to Underdog a while ago

My Brother in law invited me and my son to a game a little while ago which I found strange but went along anyway and took my eight year old son who wanted to take his WT ball for a kick

Anyway I'm spending half the game screaming at young fella to watch where he is kicking the ball and sure enough he hits a bench player in the back for my old team I went over and apologized and spoke to the fella for a few minutes told the young fella we were going at the end of the game

Brother In Law comes home giving me a big razz about the bloke I was talking to and how I didn't recognize him

It was Kevin Campion

That was why he invited me down for to see who the latest member of our side was

Happy was

Used to play a bit but couldnt stand all the posers who thought they were gods gift yet didnt play full contact. Most of them are tall stringbeans with huge egos.

I still play mens opens OzTag at least its close to real footy….I still need it after only retiring from Rugby League last year.

Pretty close to it Stryker. Touch is more of an athletes game and is far too removed in terms of the basic rugby league skillset.

OzTag is a far more enjoyable experience.
