Tough Choice : Gibbs or Fulton

As seen in the article about Benji \Liam beat up , Its look like we will need to make a choice Gibbs or Fulton . Both have their strengths and weaknesses . Who would you choose and why ??? Tough choice !!

If we have to let one or the other go i would keep gibbs purely on the basis….its a simple game.... we need forwards.

Not sure if this is a decision the club actually has to make, but if it was I'd keep Gibbs for sure.

Though I'm concerned about his body, as he seems to be missing more and more games each year through injury. I know he is not that old, but he really has played well below 100% for us a number of times, and this may be catching up with him now. Hope I'm wrong though.

I like Fulton, but he is too small. Smart player, and much more of a footballer than an athlete, but to me it is an easy decision. IMO Gibbs is close to the best defensive prop in the game, the amount of cleanup work he does is unbelievable, and not many people seem to notice it.

I think they'll both go,but the easiest to replace is the one who is at best a marginal 1st grader..Fulton.At 89kgs,just too small for a backrower in todays game,& it shows each week despite his workrate.
Gibbs adds a little mongel to the pack,& even tho he wont get a starting slot with galloway/Fifita/Blair/Woods & maybe Payten next yr,he's still handy in the 17
Cronulla, desperate for reasonably sized 1st grade props, will snap Gibbs up,whereas Fulton will probably end up back in UK as there isnt a huge demand for his type

I like both of them.

I'd like to see Fulton as a workaholic lock with a massive pack in front of him but the problem is that when you need an extra bigger forward Fulton is not the best option.

When our forwards are on top Fulton is great for us. When we are getting beaten in the forwards or we are in trouble Gibbs really does a great job.

Defensively they both have a role . Gibbs helps create out line speed and is defensively one of the best defensive props in the game . Fulton cleans up many missed tackles . Fulton has a slight edge in attack as he can play out wide and create things . injury wise both have had issues . It is a tough call really

They're close mates - will probably hope to both go to one club if it comes down to one of them being shown the door.

Would like to keep both but @ a pinch would keep Gibbs because he & Galloway would be the senior props & i think Payten will retire @ the end of this year & these two could bring Woods & Fifita & Groat through.

I think we got their best football years out of the two of them. It wouldn't bother me if they both went.

Gibbs. I agree Fulton is too small and really how many more show ponies do we need in the team?
Youngens will kill it next year, and let's get this Begovich signed up good too I like his mojo

Agree, Gibbs can slot into the second row easily enough too and because of his extra size he's more effective at defending around the ruck.

Not a tough choice at all really Fulton is surplus we have enough backrowers that are better than Liam, so sorry Liam time to move on. Its not personal but room needs to be made for the many talented juniors coming through and Blair joining the ranks.

Fulton has really good attack and always works well on set plays with benji, and i'm pretty sure he is one of our leading tacklers. Gibbs is good because he has size, but he does not use it very well.
