TOUGH TIMES

From the Herald…now we know why WT don't want 2 x NSW Cup teams because they want the funding that Ashfield give the Magpies.

TOUGH TIMES

There's strong mail coming from Concord Oval that the Wests Tigers' shock release of Mitch Brown had more to do with financial pressure on the club than good will. The good oil is both the Tigers and the Dragons are feeling the pinch and not letting on the true seriousness of financial matters which largely stem from dried-up leagues club funding. Stay tuned.

We made a small profit before leagues club funding was even taken into account last season.

We have a passionate billionaire's company as out major sponsor

Our sponsorship suite last season was the highesat monetary value in the clubs history and we have added to it this season

I call BS

The source is what is holding me back from calling a bluff. The Herald rarely misses the target on these types of issues. You would think Masters has been consulted before going to print as well.

Interesting discussions

If WT want the $$$ from Ashfield then allow the magpies to be the sole nsw cup team in return, operated under the WT umbrella.

If Balmain FC / five dock-flemington-ryde/eastwood Leagues clubs cant kick some $$ in the WT tin then the consequence is no more bret in nsw cup.

Tigers can live on at nrl level.

Masters would be lucky to know what is going on at David Gallops dry cleaner and certainly is not hooked into the workings of any club

More proof that it's the Carbon Tax!

If Mitch Brown's contract is the difference between survival and financial ruin then all we need to do is commit to buying another beer each at the next Leichhardt game and everything's rosy again.

Try whistling another tune… this one is getting really boring!

This is not BS.

You people have been blind for the last 18 or so months.

It is 100% true.

The 'Mad Scientists' have known all along.

Of course you knew :unamused:

The Wests Tigers are feeling the pinch from dried up leagues club funding - or so the story says.
That is hardly surprising. Indeed it would be surprising if otherwise.
Regrettably it is equally hardly surprising that some will use that to blame the Wests Tigers management.

So despite having an excellent sponsorship portfolio, good merchandise sales, turning a profit last year, good membership base this year and financial benefits of playing at the SFS we're relying on the release of a fringe first grader?

Cool story bro. :unamused:
