Transfer Market: Tigers’ shock bid to snare DWZ

Soooo...Have we signed DWZ yet...downvotes I'll take as a Yes..

Lol I thought about dowmvoting you just as a laugh, but I don't really want DWZ at WT, so I decided against it.

My guess is it's just an inquiry, and won't go any further than that. DWZ to stay at Dogs (or go to Sharks if they're stupid).

Same. Whilst I think he has talent & as a winger would be a walk up starter for us - so would about any other winger as well. I’m just struggling to see why we would go after him - he doesn’t have speed to burn and it helps the Bulldogs out to grab another quality player more than it helps us I feel.

I whould be more concerned as to why we can’t grab quality players

When you see a guy do this it’s a simple matter of putting one hand on his head and spinning him 180. Where the head goes the body follows. The dh watching him is also at fault.

Not keen on DWZ- just don’t see him as the type of player we need. I would prefer to have Isaako over him. I’d take Tupou from Roosters any day if he’s available however they never let the good ones go.

I’m a no for DWZ; a nice finisher but not much more. Wingers are fairly replaceable these days

Can't believe someone downvoted you for this. There are some really sad people out there that are obsessed with downvoting everything.

A downvote is only registering disagreement with a comment. It's hardly a kick in the nuts.

Then disagree with the comment. Don't hide behind a downvote.

So upvotes are now out and "I agree' is now the norm. Anonymously agreeing is so cowardly lion.

Upvotes are public knowledge, you can see who upvoted you.

You're going well, you never got down voted for that comment.

Well not yet anyway.

Players need more than speed. Dallin will do dirty runs and break tackles aswell as finish tries, not afraid to put a hit on. Not slow either.
That’s what he offers!

There aren’t any good players of contract, so we would be “helping” another team either way.

Recruitment doesn’t give a stuff about how much money dogs will have next year and what they want, they only care about who will help us be better. That’s the priority! Recruitment doesn’t care if it does or doesn’t help the dogs, only if it helps us.

By established I mean competently playing NRL in a reputable team. And by solid I actually mean in career best (or close to) form, and displaying attributes and skills that almost independently lift their team i.e. a potential/recognised superstar, or at least a universally recognised very high quality player.

Haha sorry I find this paragraph pretty funny. By solid you actually mean potential or recognised superstar, or at least UNIVERSALLY recognised as very high quality?

OK but I would propose to you that isn't remotely what the word "solid" implies.

So no Tigers don't make a habit of signing superstars, we never really have, and Nicho Hynes, if that is indeed your example, isn't a superstar or universally recognised. Bloke dead set has played about 5 excellent matches, 7 pretty good matches, 10 moderate off-bench matches in a medium-duration but limited on-field career.

I also don't agree with your interpretation of what established is - playing well in a good team? For how long? 1 match? 20 matches? Arguably under your definition, guys like Joe Stimson, Sandor Earl, Albert Vete, Cheyse Blair, Young Tonumaipea, Mo Blair, Ben Hampton etc. were established at Melbourne, because they played alright and the team overall was doing well. And where are they now?

Joey Manu is a deadset superstar high quality player - sign him

He's doing the rounds to give Nick the time to organise his new Jacuzzi apartment, teeth etc. I believe he will be a Rooster for his career.

Stats are important but it has to be married to position and Price Tag.
