Transfer Market: Tigers’ shock bid to snare DWZ

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak

I suppose DWZ would come in as a backline utility somewhat replacing Mbye. Dont mind either way, but if he did turn back on WT originally to sign with Dogs after Panthers cut him, then he should stew in his own juices as far as Im concerned, but only WT management would know that. If not welcome on board.

Who knows it may start yet another player go round with Mbye / BJ heading off.

This is very underwhelming if true.

Presume they will do due diligence and medical. Doesnt he have a bung knee?

I first thought it was a joke, but remembered McQueen, Reynolds, Packer, Mbye, Roberts, etc and then I wasn't so sure. If we are in the market for this bloke, I just don't know why, on current form he isn't worth a second look, he brings little in attack and even less in defence, at present we have better, and better coming through the ranks (Cini, Fitzgibbon, Cooper,Hoffman, etc).

It’s clear that our current strategy for senior players is ‘anyone whose ever worn a rep jersey’ because when we go for premium talent we just get taken for a ride. It’s going to take some luck to right this ship using that strategy.

Speaking of mcqueen anyone know how he is doing in sl lol, immortal yet?

Also since this hasnt been mentioned yet

Brooks, something something

DWZ would not have been my choice. Maybe for wing but that’s all.

I'd prefer him in the front row.

Of the grandstand.

I wonder if a player swap with Mbye is being discussed. It would open the door for AD to go back into the halves. I’ve always gotten the feeling Mbye will end up back in the blue and white.

This is Great News from my POV.

Mbye #2, Resounding No Thanks

I don't rate this bloke too much ar all. So hypothethically, if he does move to the club, who gets moved (assuming) he plays FG.

JTJ back to centres and DWZ to wing ? Talau back to reserves, given that Gildart is arriving next year. DWZ to reserves ?

If we had of signed Isako from the Bronco's he would have been better value than DWZ, this seems like a bit of a knee jerk reaction to me.

Normally this means the player moves a week later 😂

What's wrong with DWH for a wing positoin. Madge made him (C) of NZ team so he clearly rates him. He's got a couple of brain snaps in him but overall a pretty solid winger (nothing else though).

His kick returns remind me of K.Hunt. Fast and ferocious, so good to watch.

Agree mate... Pretty much every decision Madge and Hartigan have made has turned out well.
I trust them and if we can pick up a guy that has played for his country like 8 times, only 25 years old, Getting half his salary paid for , can play in the position that we desperately lack depth in we would be silly not to give it a go. It was only 18 months ago we tried to sign him but Dogs paid overs for him but we all know if he is not a Full back but a pretty handy winger. He sh*ts all over having Tommy T on the wing.

Oi Boss!

You can't say that! Rabble rabble, something about not Madge's team, Brooks needs a platform, bring back Rankin.

If we sign DWZ our team would have been pretty good in 2018. Roberts, Tamou, BJ, DWZ, Brooks all playing good footy.. Unfortunately it’s 2021

I actually don’t mind him

Was a fairly decent player for Penrith, of which is closer to his actual ability

Everybody who goes to the Dogs turns to 🗑

Exactly! Was going great guns before he moved across to the Dogs, he even played well with them for a little while before losing his way last season. I don’t think the Dogs were a good fit for DWZ and I think he will play better under Madge as he did for NZ.

I hope he now realises he is more suited to the wing than fullback though because he would come in very handy for us on the wing. The guy can put on a good hit at times as well, it’s definitely a yes from me.
