Transfer Market: Tigers’ shock bid to snare DWZ

DWZ is a smart buy at 350-400k as a winger which will be the numbers. Dogs are resigned to paying half his salary. I believe they are free Dufty . It works for both clubs and May create room for Mbye to go to the dragons.

Issue is he’s not a fullback and has been paid as one. Dogs have too many wingers on huge money Fox, Allen, Cotric.

He’s a strong runner, great finisher and a good leader by all reports.

I wonder if a player swap with Mbye is being discussed. It would open the door for AD to go back into the halves. I’ve always gotten the feeling Mbye will end up back in the blue and white.

That’s interesting, I always felt it was the opposite and the Dogs were happy to be rid of him, especially at the price they were paying him. I actually thought that Grub would’ve been the one to return there one day.

I personally would like this to happen but DWZ himself has come out on social Media and said this is a No story..
I don't think a player would comment on social media if it was true so have my doubts now

I would prefer getting Dufty than DWZ.
Geez this is gonna be fun next 2 years.

He’s being recruited as a winger we already have Diane Laurie. We have no first grade wingers outside of Nofa. Guy can play at the right price it’s smart business.

To be fair Hastings said the same thing about 2 weeks before we announced him. Dogs admitted there had been discussions. Based on what the Pom said today I’d say he’s a very good chance to be here

Isn't that what Jackson Hastings said as well?

There’s been plenty of players come out and try and deny rumours that have ended up happening anyways

Look, I’d take him as long as our cap obligations to him are not greater than $300-$400k pa max….don’t need another Mbye/Packer situation

He's only 25 and is capable of being a good winger. Ain't a fullback, but for 400K odd he'd be a good get IMO. Certainly better winger than Kepoa, Cini or Talau!

I understand that. Laurie could also move to 5/8th - still think thats his position and fullback longterm isn’t.

Bulldogs getting yet another upgrade in the backline & I sure hope we are negotiating knowing they are intentionally looking to backfill from the market as well. We can’t pay more than 350-400k max a year for him to play on the wing

The player that runs the length of the field to chase him down at 3:20 is Mbye.

What's wrong with DWH for a wing positoin. Madge made him (C) of NZ team so he clearly rates him. He's got a couple of brain snaps in him but overall a pretty solid winger (nothing else though).

His kick returns remind me of K.Hunt. Fast and ferocious, so good to watch.

Who is DWH
And why would any parent name their son K.Hunt
Who is that anyway

But the way My sister is now known as C.Hunt
And that is Fact

If the whispers are true, I like this signing. He hasn't played well at the Dogs, but I chalk that down to Dean and Trent's poor player management and game plan.

DWZ was an excellent winger at the Panthers, hopefully he can find that form again for us. At the very least we need depth at 1, 2 and 5, and if he signs for no more than 250-300K with freight it's a win.

He used to be so fast. Interested to see how quick he is now considering he seems pretty Injury free
