I'll chip in to get him to the Tigers if I get to spend a night with Sally.

Whatever would you find to talk about??

I'm thinking Indecent Proposal

Sabre walks up to Merrin and says I will give you $ 1 million to sleep with Sally for one night and play for the Tigers

Merrin flattens Sabre takes the money and Sally and signs with one of the other 12 clubs that appear to be entirely normal for far less

so who will he decide to join :
the panthers or the broncos.
I reckon the broncos, so he can once again be coached by Wayne Bennett.

I saw this thread revisited, and my heart was all a flutter, and then read the latest posts and thought - :deadhorse:

But of course.

Tigermama,I could grab a nice bottle of Sav Blanc, bickies and cheese and converse with Sally about the upcoming season the WTs are going to have, but I thought she would probably lust after me….she is only human and I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO BE A CHICK MAGNET...

Yep same, we really should've known better UD  The off season can't end soon enough.

Merrin is punching well above his weight. I'll never understand women and what makes them tick. She could have her pick of the stall ….http://www.weststigersforum.com/posting.php?sid=5b586e22171c88b7597e87fd29cc4fcb#

**Trent Merrin will join the Penrith Panthers from next season. The Panthers announced on Monday that the St George Illawarra forward has signed a three-year deal which News Corp is reporting is worth nearly $750,000 a season.**
Merrin addressed his Dragons teammates this morning informing them of his decision to join Penrith.

Fairfax Media reported on February 7 that the Panthers were favourites to secure Merrin's signature despite a late bid by the Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors.

General Manager of the Panthers, Phil Gould, hailed the signing of Merrin.

"We are absolutely delighted to confirm Trent Merrin will be joining the Panthers for the next three seasons. This is one of the most significant player signings this club has made in its 49 year history," Gould said in a media release.

"Trent has been part of a Premiership winning team and already achieved 10 State of Origin appearances for NSW. At 25 years of age we believe Trent is about to enter the prime time of his playing career with his best football still in front of him. Apart from his obvious playing talents, Trent brings valuable experience and leadership qualities to Panthers. We are very excited about this signing," said Gould.

Merrin is expected to replace veteran Brent Kite, 34, who is likely to retire at the end of the season. His signing is seen as a key ingredient for the Panthers premiership chase.

The Shellharbour Sharks junior has made 107 appearances for the Red V since making his debut, including a premiership victory under Wayne Bennett in 2010\. The Dragons have made contingency plans in case he leaves and are looking to bolster their front-row stocks.

Merrin, who has played 10 games for NSW, is in a relationship with surfing champion Sally Fitzgibbons. Signing with the Panthers would allow him to remain in Wollongong, though he would face a commute to training.

Merrin would have made his Kangaroos debut in the Four Nations if not for a shoulder injury. It is the second consecutive season that injury ended his Test chances, after a knee problem ended his hopes of a start in the World Cup.

Some of these teams just go from strength to strength, replacing one class player with another, without even the slightest hiccup. Yeah alright, I admit I'm jealous - I wouldn't mind so much, but we haven't signed a marquee player for a hundred years!!!
