Hey guys,

NZ based tigers fan here. Will be making the trip over to Christchurch for the game on Sunday and saw the crowds expected to be 13-14k. How’s that for a pre-season game!

Will be looking to get 1 up on the season against all the wahs fans in the office 😂.

It’s a lot better rounded and far stronger looking team.
Meanwhile the Warriors have submitted a similar team to last year.
Looking forward to seeing how these guys have improved.

He has to learn the game.
That won’t occur in a trial.
He’ll learn in KOE Cup.
There were people on here that expected Alaimalo to be a starter in round 2 which is a big call coming from Rugby Union and only halving less than half a pre season here.

I have to admit that I am looking forward to seeing how Solomona Faataape goes though.

Would be great to see him absolutely kill it after all the drama the media tried to make of the Shane Richardson so called conflict of interest when it actually just really comes down to the guy being a great talent and when it comes down to it, just happens to be a smart signing.

Stupid expectation on a rugby convert.
Yes I’m interested in Faataape as well. He is a goer and we are short on in his position.

Both our starting centres named are good attacking centres eager for greater opportunity.
I’m certain Declan Casey will surprise many who consider him just a reserve grader.

This article says it all. Played 1 game of League before.

Going to take some time in Cup to be even remotely close to ready.

If you look at a few of the other team lists, it's not as surprising that we have named a a pretty strong side. I reckon most players that aren't carrying a niggle would be pretty keen to have a proper run. Won't be too phased about the result but would love to see a bit of direction and spark out of the halves, probably most keen to see how Bud goes, but excited to see how young Galvin and Mason handle themselves against the big boys.

Aliamalo, T’oa, Naden, Latu Fainu, Twal, Bateman, Tumeth and Matamua all top 30 players excluded from the squad
Assuming niggles for all of these guys? otherwise not much of a connection between them .. Also missing Olam.

Players - Olam still recovering from soreness as a result of last seasons surgery .. Bateman has some minor soreness .. Aliamalo, Twal just some minor stiffness. Latu Fainu (suspension)

Bud has recovered from his lower leg soreness .. and Sam Fainu recovered from his rolled ankle.
