Your bias against Bula always stands out for me… the guy is 20 games into his career playing with a brand new halves combo

I think it’s a half fair question , remember they have had the full off season to get to know the plays and for gods sake if they can’t do it now when will they do it ?

Fundamentally our players don’t understand how to create space, even when we have the numbers. It’s a serious flaw in our development programs in my opinion. A lot of people on here just blame the halves but I’ve seen enough now to know there is an educational issue.

I think Sullivan went ok …im liking the potential of the combination with Sezer ,,,

Sezer could be more important to this team having some success than I first thought … that controlling game manager style of play is something they have lacked for years ..

Still … I’ll wait and see how he goes in the real stuff first before getting too carried away

it was concerning because most of the warriors starting 3 didn’t play at all…

They played longer than 20
Minutes and when there was a man down, we should have been better than we were

Yea i read it. And we had mainly Flegg players for 60 minutes - it means nothing. I will be more concerned with the next trial where both sides will have pretty much their top available squads on show. See how things go then before you start bagging the side as usual.

The only regular NRL fullback who is constantly stuck in first gear.

It's his running style. David Peachey like. Looks like he is cruising when he is actually flat out.

Today his work rate was down, I'm confident that will rise. That didn't disappoint me, what did disappoint is that it looks like Benji hasn't included Bula in our backline sweeping movements. Did he chime in out the back once? I don't recall if he did.

I like Jake Simpkin, he plays tough, well above his weight and defends strongly.
But he’s no attacking threat, I believe our bench should ideally offer attacking threat, therefore I think TDS is more valuable to us as a bench player.
In saying this I think Latu Fainu might be our 14 as he’s much more versatile than both of them.

Yeah I agree. Fainu will be an interesting one how they fit him in, I have high hopes for him here. Think he will surprise some but hope we give him time as he will have some down moments as well.

Everytime watched Fainu I have been impressed with the effort, his body positioning defending and able to hold his own against bigger men (makes sense look at his brothers).

His work rate didn’t bother me today either.
It was a body/legs day for many.
I think today was more around just playing direct.
We only went wide maybe 2-3 times when Sezer was on the park. Wingers and Centers got very little ball 1st half.
If he scores the try off Sezer kick few would be saying he looked good.

It’s their first trial - he doesn’t want get injured. He almost scored 1 try, saved one and came out unscathed. Not to mention many hitups out of own half.

Sezer challenges the line at more speed then Hastings IMO.

Sezer looked pretty good if you ask me, and maybe he’s a better guy to have in sheds. Many people say Hastings is self-obsessed and not great to the young players.
