He's a good prop when he can get into his groove, which is still far too inconsistent. Last week Manly muscled him and he was hopeless. Last night Roosters gave him some latitude with junior opponents and he grew dramatically into the game - clumsy early runs and defence became barnstorming bumps and hits.Musgrove deserves a shoutout, people started turning on him because he wasn't playing but he's shown he's a good prop when he's on the field - fingers crossed no injuries for him this year.
Had a good game and deserves a spot in our 17 come round 1, maybe even starts with Tamou out.
Very typical Tigers, you never know what you are going to get with Musgrove, but when he's on fire he's very hard to handle. I suppose Madge thinks he's a bargain buy given all his baggage, that Madge can ultimately get results out of him (having also debuted him at Souths).
