Just nice to smash the Raiders and a good confidence builder. Very important for a new look team that hold the spoon, going into a new season. I was most happy that they defended their mistakes and got into the grind.

Dominant performance today without Korisau, Joe O, Brooks. Looks like the guys were having fun out there for a change and looked like they were running downhill. The caveat being that Canberra made a lot of errors, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Of the young guys, big seasons looming for Blore and Pole in the forwards + Kepaoa and Tupou in the backs based on trials.

Our biggest issue has always been consistency. Fingers crossed we change that this year.

The big difference was, they hunted as a pack in defence, and attack like all the good sides,.Last year it was 13 individuals. If they can maintain that, we will build the character , and confidence, that has been missing for years.

Very happy with the TEAM effort today and something nice to build on for the season...
For me biggest thing I got out of the game was the fitness of the players. The game was played in the early afternoon when it was extremely hot (Even N Hynes said at HT it was tough out there and they were the later game).
For most of our players it was their 1st hit out and they were under the pump early on defence and held strong.
Fingers crossed we don't get a lot of injuries this year but looking forward to the year ahead.

The players all look happy and enjoying each other unlike past seasons.

Need to seriously look at medically retiring Ken. I really like his work when healthy, but he hasn't been forever now - and if you go down in every tackle, that's proof enough for medical retirement IMO. His body is done.
