I thought Tupou was our best winger today with Staines second best
Still can’t say a nice thing about him, even when he plays well?? I thing he ran sideways once, when crammed in the corner. U just have a bias view.
Agree with you on tupou, but Nofa was second. Staines went good at fullback but ok at wing, fell over the line. Did a rubbish kick on the first, which takes points off.

Agreed. Tupou has to continue to play in the NRL. He is a future backline x factor player for WTs.
I'm actually not anti Nofa. I just thought he was just pipped by the other two today

Staines went ok but hardly a standout! He’s there for injury and if form drops, which is good to have. As it stand’s tupou next cab then stains that’s forth down the list. That’s the facts.
You and others can rubbish Madge all you like,he had bugger all to work with because of the cap garbage he had...he had the smarts to recruit pro players such as Api and Papi but the haters cant wait to lick Sheenss arse because they think he is our savior...as far as the raiders go they will improve ,its a trial and ricky and madge will have them in a better position than what everyone thinks atm..Also dont think the Dolfins will be also rans,they will be better in 24 especially once Wayne gets them to gel...The other thing I will say is defense wins you the game,just as Madge had them learning to defend with the old 5 hit ups and a bomb which many teams use,he didnt get a chance to put his attack in play because he was sacked...Sheens has the advantage of Madges forsight...
Its always easy to kick a man when he is down,I give Madge much credit because I only played the game and copped heaps,he coaches an NRL team and held his head high by winning a premiership in both hemispheres,more than I could ever hope to do...weak keyboard warriors always bag people because they remain anomynous,myself on the other hand welcome an invitation face to face to discuss anything football related...Im no angel but I have God and his teachings on my side...we are all human beings given every chance to make life what we want it to be.,,

I’m as pleased as you can be with a trial, we played well and still without half the spine. The whole squad got a hit out without the huge dip that usually comes when we go to our bench. Defence looked solid attack seemed to be gelling, as long as we continue to progress I think we’ll have a decent season.

You’re right, Madge had nothing to work with but he made terrible recruitment decisions, had little to no game plan and didn’t improve the players.

It was a good win and the boys played well.
Two things stood out for me today - the first leadership in attack and the second attitude in defence. Two things that were absent for 99% of 2022. The great thing is that attitude is infectious and can be banked. It certainly made a difference for us today and I trust we will build on it in round 1.
In my view todays win was important for us as because it was built around a solid foundation in both defence and attack. Our boys earnt the right to throw the ball around because our middles provided a platform. Wakeham looked solid off the back of the foundations work of the middles. I expect that if we can lay a similar foundation in round 1 Brooks may give us even better attacking options .
I was happy with AD at 5/8, He made some good attacking decisions and was guiding the team around the park. However, he is slow for a 5/8 and will struggle against teams with a bit of line speed (something the Faders didn't have at all today). He looks ungainly with the ball in hand but was effective today. I trust that more game time will improve him further. He did OK today and if he keeps improving may change my view on his longer term prospects.
We have to remember that this was just a trial and the Faders were terrible. Based on what I have seen of the Titans they will be a more formidable opponent in Round 1.
Bring it on I say.
