Because I happen to appreciate people who do their very best even if it isnt good enough...Once again Madge didnt suit what we needed,but the weak gutless people on here want to belittle and degrade the man for TRYING his best under difficult circumstances..eg LEE giving Noffa 5 years and a heap of money when we have young guys that can do just as good a job if not better with experience...

Boys club,but then again we are the WTs and have to back our coaching staff now that we won a trial...I still think Madge had the decency to TRY he just didnt suit what we needed,no need to bellitle him for it...

I don't think anyone here thinks Madge didn't have a decent crack. In fact, I think that's the last thing anyone would say about the man. As a bloke, he's probably one of the most decent, hard-working guys in rugby league. Not to mention, despite his dismissal, hasn't bagged the club even once. On a personal level, I don't think anyone has an issue with the guy.
On a professional level, he is open to both accolades and criticism.
Either way...he is gone now. We need to look forward.
Maguire paid the penalty for failing in his role and he got the sack, and the squad he had ended up where they deserved to be - last - because they performed more poorly than any other players in the competition - i.e. in their role as professional footy players.
Let's hope all do better in their roles this year many who get paid exceptional money for the privilege.

i’m not belittling him for it but what’s done is done no point talking about the past
Madge/WT had no money because Cleary's plodders were sucking it all up (Packer M'Bye and Reynolds) and delivering nothing
You know what everyone has missed about todays game and our success....the whole team was backing each other up and playing for each other,,,greater times ahead with that attitude...
We looked good but only really used douheis side and better sides will shut us down, so hopefully that was because api and brooks were out(anyone thinking wakehams better than brooks needs thier eyes checked)
I think tupou is at the stage where to develop any further he'll need to play first grade, conveniently ken looks busted so he should take his place. I think nofa is good enough to keep stains out of the wing

But will Laurie keep Stains out of the 1 jumper is the question..I like Daine immensley as a player,but Stains can play 1 or 2/5 and has the speed and experience...I hope Daine has a blinder first up...its all up to the players to perform because I personally think that this year is the year we become a decent NRL side with a good culture,attitude and admin ...we cant be a basket case forever...
