Lets hope for a dry track, will be interesting to see Laurie/Brooks/Hasting work together in attack and if our backs will get some ball. If the backs get early ball I'm really keen to see JTJ have a crack as well.

The forwards just don't excite me however Rua getting another Trial run is very promising for the kid, this time he will be mixing it with the NRL dudes - he has a Smith style vibe to his enthusiastic play and body build but time will tell.
 
my guess is Laurie will play the first half at fullback then toa will come in hence no dillion, as for peachy bench no twal etc id say it's a chance for guys like kelma and offa to prove themselves as worthy of a spot in the 17. it's a trial guys, not round 1!

It is concerning that we don't have any rampaging front rowers, Zane Musgrovs last chance to come on as a sub and throw himself at the D. In his first trial he lacked mongrel.
 
I believe Pauga can't play first grade until round 12ish regardless unless he gets a top 30 spot which looks unlikely.

Surprised that Peachey is on the bench but maybe that's just for the trial.

Absolutely just a trial mate, our team still needs tweeking, Peach is not playing first half because he wants to see if Hastings and Brooks can dominate plays.
Pauga is getting runs in the trials because we will need him due to COVID and injuries - we are thin for centres and Abdo already said there will be exemptions.
It will be interesting to see if Roberts can salvage his career in a trial.

All train and trial + development players can play from round 1 if a Club is Covid effected..
 
We play two teams that are expected to make the top 4 in our trials. By rights/'21 ladder position/'22 expected ladder, we should lose both. I'm not too worried, just good to see a few 'possibles' getting a run and, as some have said, getting a look at some that only feature if covid strikes. A win would be nice, but a competitive loss, with a few of the team showing promise should be the expected result.
