I agree. It should be 250k to the winning club and 250k to be spread amongst the winning junior catchment of that club.

Traditionally, the first trial game is similar to what we are doing against the Warriors. Give the fringe dwellers a run, not just to give them the chance to prove themselves but also because we might need them later in the year, Feledy is a prime example.
I get all that, but I'm thinking, why not put your best side out there in trial 1 and hopefully win the game which would be good for the club and the supporters morale.
You then go back to a side similar to what is being put on the park against the Warriors for the second trial. This gives the best side a week to get over any niggling injuries before round 1.
If there were something not quiet right with combinations in the first trial it can be tinkered with for say 20min in the second trial then rest them.

You won't get a true idea of what's happening with the main team against kids, conversely our young blokes getting smashed in game II does nothing good either

Yeh thats a good response.
Playing any opposition that have players trying to impress surely is better than contact opposed training sessions at WT.
