Trials...............Who is Going.

At the ground now. Conditions perfect for footy but the 1st game has still not started. Waiting for the rain from earlier to soak in by the looks of it. Won't be surprised if its cancelled and they go straight to the 20's.

BRET Game now set for a 5.15 start . One 30min half.

Do you mean theyre only playing 30 minutes in total?

This was initially set for a 3.30 kick off

Looks like a late finish

That is correct Ink.

30 minutes total

This is a link to a pic of the weather about the time the game was supposed to kick off originally

Bluetongue are very particular on amount of games on playing surface in bad conditions. has seen numerous NYC games postponed in the past

Grant in for BRET. 8-4
Good lead up by Grant, showed his pace and a good pass to finish it off. Ball came back his side to score.

I hope Grant gets a run in FG sometime this year!

NSW CUP TRIAL: BALMAIN 8- WENTWORTHVILLE 8
Wests Tigers
11/02/2012 5:49:45 PM

Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers drew 8-all with Wentworthville Magpies in a NSW Cup trial at Bluetongue Stadium this afternoon.

The NSW Cup trial match was reduced to 30 minutes after a significant delay following an earlier thunderstorm.

Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers opened the scoring in the 11th minute through left centre Tim Simona after some smart run around play by five-eighth Dane Chisholm for a 4-0 lead.

Wentworthville drew level 4 minutes later through a try out wide to full-back Jake Mullaney.

The Tigers went to an 8-4 lead when former rugby winger John Grant stepped inside and past his opponent to score in the 27th minute. It was a fine reward for Grant who made a break down the right flank to link up with Chisholm on the previous play.

Wentworthville drew level through winger Jerome MacKenzie two minutes later after Tigers full-back Linc Port flew high to take a bomb only to spill the ball into
an opposition player.
