can he be told he must not run it himself particularly late in the tackle count

He should be running of cues: late defender, body language, fullback not in postion on the goal line, slow or split makers etc. Api should be working him hard with this during the week. Hope is serviceable - all he has to do is stick to the system and get the ball out in front of the right players. The rest of it is bonus points if he nails it.

Yep that is really frustrating , got to earn the right to do that buddy.

Hard to hang on to back up spine players who we expect to pay peanutsforo,but demand a performance just below the incumbent when the opportunity arises
Madden was a bit of a surprise..came out of no where... totally unwanted..but someone will now want him as a regular 1st grader sooner or later
Flanagan and Verrels definitely unwanted but fringe NRL..and honstly,same may just apply to Latu
Problem is were paying Latu $500k..others youd get for $200k

Latu's extension dollars will be interesting, not that we will probably ever know for certain.

But he's still very young and will come good going forward, it's frustrating but need to persist.

Verills has played a 100 NRL games and is only 27 … I would jump at the chance to get him the rest of this year and next to be our No 2 hooker … yes he would cost more than Hope …. But hooker is just such an important position to the team… imagine if it was Api that broke his foot and Hope was starting the next 12 weeks .. Game over man !

Latu is an interesting one … three years in now , and we still don’t really know for sure what they have … hope he gets some real solid game time he rest of this season…so they know what to offer him on his next contract ..

But hooker is just such an important position to the team… imagine if it was Api that broke his foot and Hope was starting the next 12 weeks .. Game over man !
