Tuimoala Lolohea Signs with WT

Lets be honest here, were buying an overweight reserve grader that cant even displace ayshford nothing to really get excited about.

Yet the coaches of a number of successful clubs (plus ours) were after him. Do you think they all intended to play him in reserve grade as well?

Apart from our crappy team you tell me what other first grade side he will play in.

Reports in nz this evening that Zac Santo has been signed from Raiders and Lolohea will be released.

The Cowgirls were after him and planning to play him as a #14 utility

Well the Cowboys for one, I don't imagine they were pursuing him to play reggies.

Some of you guys deadset need a new hobby. I'm a fan of Tui, but jesus, he's not Thurston.

I reckon we should make a market on how fast the forum will turn on Tui if he doesn't walk on water in the first month.

Thats the thing about the forum….and people in general. We always live in hope that the next signing etc will be the next big thing taking us to the finals......until reality sets in and the fact is Tui was a reserve grader for a reason.

Funnily enough, I think he will make a go of it and show some class but it won't be until 2018.

Canberra, nq and sharks chased him.

Just shows once again that what Ivan is doing is attracting players. All of the players we've signed have had offers from their club that have been competitive (except Reynolds) or have had interest from other clubs. All aboard. WTFL

On Tui, he's not going to save our season. The boy will show glimpses with the odd linebreak, use of otherworldly footwork or show of pace but he's a project. Once he drops 5kg, gets a full pre-season under Ivan and gets his confidence back, watch him go. As Darryl Halligan says, "Here goes Tui!"

Paul Vaughn couldn't displace Clay Priest in the Canberra 17 last year, what a scrub…

Cowboys and Raiders as #14 and Sharks as a centre to replace Leutele. I imagine he could get a run at a number of other clubs somewhere in the 17 as well.

He may or may not work out well for us but he's not without talent.

Keep in mind that he's signed primarily as a fullback for next year, he's on only coming early because Mitch threw all his toys out the cot. We're not signing him to save our season and make a fairy tale finals push, Ivan views him as our fullback for the next two years (and possibly further). We've got nothing to gain by looking elsewhere besides going heavy on a Gagai or Ferguson, but that seems counterintuitive to Cleary's plan so far. As long as he's here for pre-season 2018 (which the Warriors have all but guaranteed) then it's not worth worrying about.

Friends with Ivan?

Ayshford is a center, tui is a half and a fullback. If tui was in his his shoes but in fullback position aysh wouldnt have a chance

At least if he plays more than one and a half games he won't be the worst player we've ever signed

If LoLo cost the sort of money that was bandied around, and wasn't it for three or four years. ? He had better be a lot more than a reserve grader when he gets here.im not sure about the length of the contract.
For some reason the Warriors don't think he's that good, even at a lower price

It is Kearney coaching them. He is godawful.

Hope you're right.

Haha me too mate, I'm over the days of overpaying for potential.

This is the Club Motto for the next few years I fear

Really? I think we've gone the opposite. It's been the club motto for the last decade.

Agreed.Josh reynolds is probably wortg 55-0-600k i wouldnt say 10-150k ist hat big overs though. The other recruits are about right. Look at the bulldogs if you want to see a team who pays overs.
