Tuimoala Lolohea Signs with WT

Lucky Josh Aloiai is in the team, because apparently he played a big part for Tui to come here. They were high-school friends and are still best mates. Also, Ivan Cleary signed NZ players such as Packer and Matulino which influenced Lolohea to come. Lets praise Ivan for the return of the Tigers in 2018\. #clearyeffect

I'm sure it would have gotten back to them in some form hence why its apparently been deleted. Doubt the club would have been impressed with Josh stealing their thunder and rendering their official announcement meaningless.

While probably not pleased, everyone knows it's happening and has been in the press for a few days now. The 50 odd diehards who saw a picture a few hours before the release won't be of any bother to anyone at the club.

I'm sure the fact we were the only club offering him a starting spot might have played some part too

Why was the photo deleted then? Doesn't matter if it was 50 diehards, because those diehards share the pic to others, and so on. Thanks to social media these things spread like wildfire. Already i've seen the photo posted on a general rugbly league facebook page.
 
Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of Tuimoala Lolohea, effective immediately.

Lolohea has joined Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2019 season and is available for selection for the team’s Round 13 clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The versatile 22 year old has played 53 NRL games for the New Zealand Warriors since making his debut in 2014.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary welcomed Lolohea to the club.

“On behalf of everyone at Wests Tigers I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Tui to the club,” said Cleary. "Tui has shown that he is a player of tremendous natural talent.

"We look forward to helping him develop, and reach his true potential, in the coming years."

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said that Lolohea brings to Wests Tigers experience at both a club and International level.

“We look forward to having a player of Tui’s talent join Wests Tigers for the coming two and a half seasons,” said Pascoe. “At just 22 years of age he’s already represented both New Zealand and Tonga and we’re keen to see him take his game to the next level here.”

Lolohea was a part of the Warriors’ 2014 Holden Cup Premiership winning squad and the following year named the Warriors Rookie of the Year.

He was also named in the 2016 Auckland Nines Team of the Tournament.
 
Wohoooooooooo. I reckon he will kill it under cleary. Might take him a while but has the x factor we need.

You can also add the $950k from Farah on top of the $900k we have saved as you suggested. Suddenly we're not looking half bad.

It's amazing what we can achieve when we have a coach who has an idea on how to build a decent squad for the right money

So Fonua will play for us this year? When does he join. Would be a welcome addition to our backline.

Though Fonua was for next year? Didn't realise we were looking at him for a mid season signing too. Would squeeze out Kev or MWZ you'd imagine.
