Tuqiri future up in the air

I just can't see Lote playing well enough to keep a spot on the wing for the next 2 years. I would like to be proven wrong but I don't think he is playing well enough at the moment to have a wing spot for the Wests Tigers NRL side. We have some very good wingers coming through and I would hate to lose either Korro or Noffo because we keep Lote.

x2
One year…...maybe
Two years...... can't get my head around that one.

He has picked up his form over the last 2 weeks. Probably due to a rise in confidence and some consistent footy.

If he has a good month or two he may get a deal for next year.

You and I must have been watching different games last week. He wasn't any better in my eyes. Shakey under the high ball, took him half an hr to turn around and retrieve a kick and when Lawrence gave it to him in the clear, was run down after 10m. I love the guy but he hasn't shown anything to warrent a new contract. What the hell does Utai need to do to secure a contract. If we don't re-sign him, someone else will snap him up, he's playing too well

Lawrence passed early and passed poorly. Can't castrate Lote for that.

Surprised your gross exaggeration hasn't been picked up by the hyperbole police either…

Yeah and Lawrence did not back up either The old Lawrence would never do this Lote should be given a few more weeks he is on a steady incline and continued improvement will hopefully see him reach close to his 2010 exploits

If hes been offered $500 for two years you would think he would snap that up, just hope he plays well as i think he is improving with more games under his belt.

Ah yes, but Lote is a great ambassador for our club. He will improve if he can stay uninjured. I think it will be good if we can keep him at our club.

32 is like the old 32 from the 80s these guys are athletes and have a greater longevity then previous eras. If lotes kpi's are on point can't see it being an issue

can you give an insight to the players kpi's.

The only issue is he's a big guy and a winger - if you lose your pace and you cant move to the forwards your career is over.

He has been offered a 2 year deal 500k. Ball is in lotes court

On form thats way overs, but good luck to him, personally I will not be upset if he leaves with a premiership ring this year.

My only problem if he extends his contract means he gets a automatic wing position if fit every week. Because of his profile and maybe links to sponsorship deals he gets picked every week and form dosnt come into play. At present he is doing well, but gee I hope it dosnt hold back a young flyer

He would be mad not to sign for 250k if he wants to keep playing rugby league in Australia.

It will mean a couple of not so high profile players like Bell and Humble may have to be let go.

Lote is supposedly on $350K PA…I would only resign him for 2 years if he agreed to $50K pa + $150k 3rd party deal(if anyone is interested in investing in him) thats $200k p.a...

Sorry guys my info was a bit off. Lote is seeking 2 years 250k a season to stay he has not been offered that.

And 1/4 players have there kpi's monitored each year. It's to modify their training regime to keep them to a certain standard it's the reason fifita could never maintain a permanent spot in the team the dude had mad eating issues with dieting that caused him to fail fat roll tests on the regular

The only KPI will be that if he is fit he must play, his contract will be heavily subsidised by third party I would suggest.

I knew about Fifita and the skin folds. Lote is a bit ambitious asking for $250k. Make it $150k and he'd have a deal I reckon.
