Tuqiri vs. Tuiaki

I really hope they don't move tuiaki to the 2nd row. In my opinion he wouldn't make the side if they decided to move him into the 2nd row. Even tuiaki at 70% is better than beau on the wing.

we should play tuaki where it is going to be best for him, not to avoid playing beau on the wing.

admittedly, beau was average at fullback, but he's been pretty good on the wing for us. he isnt what i'd classify a bad player, he just needs some fine tuning. if his kick on sat night was an extra 10-20m across field we most likely score and win the game.. all of a sudden all is forgotten.

As impressive as lote was this year, he wasn't as good as the tank last year.

Some of tuiakis tries last year were unbelievable, no other player in the world could have scored them.

Putting Tuiaki on the wing, would in my view prolong his career, and he wouldnt have to do as much work as he would in the 2nd row. Playing on the wing would mean he wouldnt have to defend as much and would only really be needed to bring the ball back. His strength would be there, just wouldnt have the speed and the footwork really.

He is exactly the kind of player we were missing in the Dragons game. He is someone who can inject the kind of charisma and flair that is needed to beat teams like the Dragons. And unlike Lui, his defence is proven.
I just can't wait to see him flying through a gap opened up by Fulton, a chip put in by Benji or just tearing teams a new one.

Watching this vision of Moltzen reminded me of how much we missed this bloke this year. Next year it will be great to have Moltzen, Tuqiri and Tuiaki all on the field at the same time, two wingers and a half back.

I'd like to see Moltzen & Tuqiri form a formidable option on the right with Tim as a Centre and Lote his Wingman…

My only concern though is Moltzen will need a few extra kg's to defend there though...

By all reports though, Tuiaki won't have anywhere near the speed he used to have, and with a severely reduced contract, will be lucky to play NRL again. Pretty handy backup though...
