Big Bang Theory – the worst half hour on television.. thoughts?

Definitely disagree. It has intelligent jokes as in those only in certain fields would get.
It has lay jokes - pick on the nerd jokes
It has humour on multiple levels and is a homage to sci-fi/fantasy/nerd-dom everywhere.

Yeah don't mind Big Bang Theory. Criminal Minds is decent also.

Big bang is cool - I relate to the Nerdiness as that was me for a bit way back when….

Watching Sopranos Season 5 at the mo.

Its not a case of the jokes going over my head, or not being nerdy enough to understand the niche and cultural references. Its just not funny IMO. Kind of like Full House, Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond etc. Light & safe. And it relies heavily on a laugh track. Which in this day in age is incredibly outdated and borderline insidious – "no this is funny, trust us, see people are laughing".

dexter has me hooked.only just started watching it 2 weeks ago and have loved the first 2 seasons.
the only other shows i watch are weeds, damages and 24.

Not sure if you're aware, but I'd avoid websites about the show if I were you. Wouldn't want anything spoilt for you.

Season 4 is incredible.

just saw the series finale of season 4 last night, unfortunately some of my friends had seen it and although they didnt tell me, id kind of pieced together what happened at the end.

it is very shocking, and sets up a hugely different format for series 5.

still, i dont think it was 'the most shocking end to a television series of all time' as had been stated in the media etc. that still belongs to the ending of The Shield Series 5 imo

Have seen a couple of episodes on a Canadian show that airs on ABC2 at 10.30pm called 'Billable Hours'. Gets a few laughs from myself.

Hard to disagree. Season 5 of The Shield was flat out amazing the whole way through, the finale was just mindblowing. But still to this day, for me, its hard to go past the first season finale of Twin Peaks.

Fair enough.

I find The Office exactly like that. Its very popular but its probably the stupidest show I've ever seen like Seinfeld, Arrested Development, etc

yeah seen a little bit….more of the same with the sci fi bull....pretty terrible genre if you ask me.

Agree with you guys re Dexter season 4 and the shield...best shows on tv. Will be interesting to see how they cover Dexters season end in the new series.

Really??? I've always liked sci fi and supernatural shows. And books.

One of my favorite shows 'Supernatural' is on tonight at 9.30pm on channel 10\. I'll watch it after Monday night football. I love my Monday night footy and now Mondays have got even better

Heroes is my No 1 show, followed by anything with Arj Barker.

Has anyone seen TrueBlood? Is it worth watching?

TrueBlood is an awesome show.. funny in parts.. and worth checking out.
it can be slow at times, but then when it picks up the action it's well worth the wait.
try and get all the eps at once, because you kind of get hooked and every episode ends in a cliff hanger so you'll want to see what happens next.

True Blood is a great show

Season 3 out soon

the Young Ones is on a tues night at 8pm on ABC2\. something appealing about "vivian, neil the hippy, mike, and rick.
was fun to watch at the time and gives alot of laughs again

The Pacific is a show I am looking forward to being out on DVD.

I loved Band of Brothers but refused to watch it on TV and let it be ruined by adverts and I plan to do the same with The Pacific

any show about Thomas Edison.
I also like watching the show on discovery channel which showed you how to build a helicopter.
