Thats pathetic, they get your hopes up with a headline like that, only to find its two junior RE-signings

I hate this club sometimes, I really do…..amateur

not money well spent IMO, we seem to have about 8 players on minimum contracts in the top 25 for next year

A shirnak
J shirnak
Lui
Dwyer
Lazarus
ryan
mataka
moltzen

that i can think of that would be minimum contracts or there abouts, the only one that is offering anything at this stage is Moltzen, wouldnt the other guys be better off in the 2nd tier cap, and giving the likes of gower and pritchard a top 25 spot? along with signing a couple of seasond players?

I fully agree..

I must be overly patient. I am happy to wait till the full squad of 25 are signed before I will crucify my club.

Why would Ryan be on a minimum contract next year?

IIRC, he signed for 2 years last year, and at the time he was playing as well as tuiaki was(last year).

if ryan is on anything more then 65-70k a year recruitment should be fired, honestly

I have no idea what the players are on, but when he signed, about 99% of the forum wanted him signed when from memory the Dragons were interested. Like I said, at the time he was performing at least as well as Tuiaki was if not better. Do you think recruitment should be fired if Tuiaki is on more than that?

It's easy to be an expert a year after a contract was signed.

@ weststigerman

before he signed his 2 year deal he wasnt even a consistant FG player, so i dont think he would be on much more then minimum contract

Maybe so, but he was playing consistent first grade when he signed the contract, so I think he's on a bit more than minimum contract.

Moltzen signed just as he came into first grade also, and I don't think he'd be on a minimum contract either.

Glad to see Jason signed up long term. He's been our best player in 20s this year imo. Alan has showed promise in NRL, glad he's getting a crack again next year.

Ryan would be on lot more than the minimum contract. Last year when we resigned him he was going okay and even Hogo nominated him as his choice to take over the no1 role. This year his form hasnt been spectacular but it hasnt been as bad as a lot of people have been saying.

I'm going to hold my breath till they sign Gallant!

They will sign Gallant, in a Big League article it says that the tigers have told him there will be something for him next year. So don't worry!

I think the lingering question is how big that something might be.

I'm happy about what the club is trying to do here… we don't have that much room to move under the cap & we have a NYC team performing really well... so therefore they deserve a shot at the big time...

With a bit of luck & some hard work by these young blokes coming through... this might well pay off for us in the long term...
