Obviously some of the experts on here should tell us who we should sign instead of constantly bagging

We simply need to be smart about who we invest our money in. Peachey at 30 years of age at 400k per season (if the report is accurate) is paying overs. Drop it to 300k per season, then there's some value.

The player has no other offers, surely nit 400k per season.

Another Pascoe Fiasco

It was reported that Canberra, Parramatta & Brisbane were chasing him?

Damned if we do, damned if we don’t, by the looks, we are not a hot spot for top line players to come, he seems to be in the area of player experience we are looking at, I’ll wait and see.

Face it mate, nobody is good enough for this fanbase.

I like it we have essentially replaced mosses mbye with peachy for the same price
Peachy is a better player then mosses

Silly comment. Plenty have been calling for Sims, Finucane, Grant, Burton, Manu, Smith etc etc.

People just want this club to elevate their standards.

I hope Peachey is good but he’s basically an ageing utility player now and has been squeezed out at two clubs. The smart money says he’ll have two injury riddled years at WT.

We're paying overs by about 100k. He was struggling to land a club, we should've just offered him 300k and see how it went. No idea how our negotiation team decided 400k a year to a player who had basically no options was a good idea.

Had he been signed on for less than 300k, I would be pleased with this signing. It's overs for me.

Don’t think anyone is saying no to him its the reported $400k a season for a 30yr old that is getting everyone worked up and rightfully so

We don’t actually know he has been signed yet, never mind for how much and that, we will probably never know?

$400k a year is overs for Peachey. He's literally just as good as Mbye and will probably take a bench spot over one of our young players.

So we're paying $400k for Mbye to play at Dragons and $400k to sign peachey.... we should've just kept Mbye.

Those younger players had their chance when we got flogged 38 to Nil by the team coming last. Throwing kids into Ist grade too early does not help their confidence and does more harm than good. We need experience and versatility, and Peachy fits that profile. Getting rid of MBye was always a dumb move and for what, a saving of $50k or $100k.

You forgot to mention ‘long suffering’ fans - we don’t deserve to have cap room, we just squander it on rubbish. We’ll no doubt let Garner go to make room for this ageing midget who has been merely going through the motions for the past 3 seasons at the Titans - slow motion Sam at best.... give us a break!
I’m sick of tearing off the calendar year sheets one by one, hoping the next year we’ll recruit a big name or two and have a dig for once ... we have the same cap as other teams who know how to recruit but we either low-ball offers to quality players or just pay overs for scraps so that other teams can bolster.
I’m tired of living in the shadows- don’t lumber is in the ungrateful category - get some passion yourself.

And yet I’ve seen people label their dislikes for almost all of those players. Someone said on here that Harry grant is the reason Melbourne didn’t win the comp ?

The club can elevate its standards all they want, in other players eyes were still the same crap no one wants to come to even for gross overs. Those idiots at the top probably think that keeping Madge will make them look better

No one really knows what he has been offered. It’s all speculation

Exactly. People should not forget we have 3 backs coming back from ACLs. We need a player with versatility. I doubt we are paying $400k.

Yes I think sour grapes do get to people. We have plenty of reasons to be sour. At the end of the day we just need to work out how to sign a couple of elite players as we do have a good core of young talent. I don’t think the current leadership are capable of fixing the club’s reputation with stars but I’ll continue to hope they can get it together. At least keeping Madge was a deviation from repeated mistakes of the past.

I guess he is slightly better utility value than Mbye and cheaper

I’m not mad about it, but it doesn’t make me super excited

It's not really cheaper, we are paying $400 for Mbye to be at dragons already. We end up spending more money on average utilities this way, plus Hastings was meant to be the Mbye replacement

Hastings is Brooks' replacement

Yeah but with how long that decision was dragged out for and then it came to the end and only the assistants got sacked it makes us look just as worse as before

We're saving 400k on M'Bye. Basically Peacheys wage and gaining a player that has a heart and isn't a dressing room cancer

What evidence is there that Mbye is a dressing room cancer?

Peachey on a 2 year deal is a solid addition. Very good player and quite underrated. He’s probably a better centre than anyone we have and provides versatility. We need to accept we aren’t getting the cream of the crop. 300k p.a. 2 years is value.

We won’t be paying 400k I strongly doubt the numbers.

Well if I was in a workplace and the bloke earning more than pretty much everyone else was a passenger, and never putting in for the cause. It'd smash my morale. Can't imagine the rest of the squad feeling different
