Interesting the clubs statement suggest he can play half, lock or back row. No mention of centre.

I think we can take from that the likes of Kepoa, Talau, Doueihi and Gildart are where Maguire is looking at for the centre position.

Surely Peach will play 13.

If that’s the case It would be the first pre season that Peach would start in a position considered to lock down a role.
Last year Tino would of trained almost exclusively in that role and part way through the year they started experimenting with Peach there. He finished off the year in 6 possibly as he didn’t have the work rate to play all game at 13 but his ball skills were still valuable to the team.

If he spends a whole preseason building the required muscle and defensive nous for the role it might be a master stroke.

However it will rule him out for Centre cover, so that could bring Garner into play as a forward / Back utility off the bench.

300-320 max ......he is 30 ...more succeptible to injuries ....doesn't have a set position ......and we probably need a 13 who can pump out big minutes and 40 plus tackles with our current defence ...he brings some attacking threats granted ...but **we need to defend 200 % better than we currently are ...**

Our centre stocks are going to be heaps light next year though. Kepaoa is coming back from an ACL, going to take a while till he hits the ground running. Same with Doueihi and Talau.

just watched peachey's highlights on youtube .If he can bring that sort of flair to the tigers they will be a much more interesting side to watch.
Hopefully a shining light amongst the doom and gloom that has been the wests tigers in recent times.

i like the signing, he has a big amount of spark and plays a lot of "eyes up" exciting football which we have lacked severely for so long.

But he also has the capability of some absolute brain fart moments in key periods of the game...

I like this signing. Having a third prop/middle forward as a lock is outdated.

I’m nervous about this sentiment. There are a handful of clubs that are making a small lock work. The clubs that have a small lock have the luxury of a dominant pack. The two most successful teams have Finucane/NAS at lock and the likes of Yeo.

Our pack gets dominated most games (ultimately) , I’m not sure one less big body will help us.

Doesn't matter how big or small your lock is as long as they can distribute the ball. Ideally you have big strongp forward who does it like Yeo who does it for Penrith and Welch who does it for Storm. Peachey in a team like ours will get caught out defensively a lot I feel

Peachey's missed tackle stats were pretty bad in some games this year.

He is not a great defender at all
