He wanted $450K and 4 years.
We have got him for $400K and 2 years. (reportedly)
Not too bad at that price.

A bargain buy for sure can play anywhere and plenty of experience should benefit some of our young blokes.I have heard plenty here saying he can be lazy but so is Lattrell when you think about it

Tyrone Peachey is on the move to Wests Tigers next season.

After three seasons with the Gold Coast Titans, Peachey is poised to return to Sydney after agreeing to terms on a two-year-deal with the Tigers.

The Roar understands the deal is worth around $800,000 with an official announcement imminent.

One of the most versatile players in the game, Peachey has been identified by the Tigers as a ball playing lock.

If we have signed Peachey for $400k a season that will do me. He has showed nothing for a few years now .

Sure sign him on $250-300k but geez $400k is a fair whack. So much for not paying overs

WTs are last chance saloon yet again..and again..and again...31 next year..serial career underperformer who only gets up at contract renewal time.Struggles for a run on slot at any club.
If indeed he was better than anything we have at 14 today, but theres absolutely no future in hiring these type of players for 3 years just because theyre" cheap"..today
Their market value is because nobody else wants them..with valid reason
Do we ever learn anything from past experiences/mistakes??

Are we talking 2 years, or is it one of those year options like JTJ and BJ, that they never disclose in the announcement?

Peachey at 14 blocks the pathways of Jake Simpkin, why would we want a 30 year old doing that

He'll probably play centre or 13 for us if we sign him. Would be extremely short sighted to have him taking up a spot of a younger player, he's not the difference between us missing and making finals

There's a reason no other clubs have wanted him really either. Had a very average season for titans

I have no problem with it as its only for 2 years and not massive money. He can cover a lot of positions and considering we have AD out early next year and maybe Brooks going its a no brainer for me consider who is out there on the market. Look how lost out team went with all the injuries and replying on these young guys.

Is he going to improve the team in any realistic way? Not really. Just another washed up utility we’ll all want retired mid way through the season.

I like it as he gives our young ones some time to develop and can turn a game on his day unlike Mbye. We need to remember there has been minimal state cup over the last 2 years and that has stunted a lot of players growth.

It’s a nothing signing. A waste of time and money.

Agreed mate. Find it very difficult to get excited about it, he'll make very little difference for us and probably take the spot of someone better than us

He's lazy and inconsistent. Suits us perfectly

Who should we sign instead of Peachey?

Peachey is a very marginal improvement on Mbye. If you’re expecting a game changer you’ll be horribly disappointed.

No one if he’s as good as we can do

Gee some of u people are hard to please, we can’t sign star players they won’t come , we have to many young players , we need a bit of experience, as long as we don’t pay mass overs or sign them for 4 years , then they can become valuable players .

800k a season? Please tell me it's not true

Will remain bottom 4 regardless if he signs or not. Very meh signing. And if those figures are correct, paying overs too.

The reality is though if we don’t sign some new players with experience we’re simply giving what we already have a big pay rise. Some one said it a day or so back, we have to sign some players and there’s not many available and even fewer who want to come here.To me this is about as good a signing as we can get. Experienced and versatile and can still make things happen in a game.

The position of only wanting to sign Munsters, Trobojevic’ and the like is not gonna happen. Baby steps is our only way currently with the stench of this place.

So much for the master plan of holding our cash for the right target. You seriously can’t believe a word anyone at the club says.

$400k a year is overs for Peachey. He's literally just as good as Mbye and will probably take a bench spot over one of our young players.

So we're paying $400k for Mbye to play at Dragons and $400k to sign peachey.... we should've just kept Mbye.
