Has he been training at fullback during the offseason?

I believe only Tui Thompson and Smith trained at fullback during preseason

Exactly. Cleary is not going to play a bloke at fullback who hasn't extensively trained there.

Can they give Gamble a run in Reggies at fullback see how he goes or will it hurt Tui's feelings ?

Why?
Theyre winning most games…we are in real trouble if were trying to manafacture NRL spine positions from reggies players that have only played occasionally there

or will it hurt Tui's feelings ?

pretty childish

Why would they? He hasn't trained there for starters.

Bellamy manafacture a spine it turned out ok Cronk started out as a hooker and played some wing at the storm before he got a go at half back Cameron Smith was a half back before he got to hooker and the great Billy Slater played center and wing before fullback

Tui's feelings are important and not childish hes an emotional guy

100% right. Tui particularly should be given time in Regges and try out a few more positions till he finds the right one.
Likewise I think Brooks will be happier at 5/8 then halfback.

Brooks has been stellar at half back this year. Not sure why you would move him - until Cleary arrives!

Because he has been in the 21 every single week. Cleary rates him.

Godinet has some hot and cold moments that Taylor could easily cover.

**Gamble just offers more at 14,** plays hard, plays to the line can cover a few positions.

Is that good enough for you guys?

Considering he hasn't played a second of NRL I don't know how you can say this

Its called an opinion

And you’re entitled to it …... I just think at this stage of his development such a move would do him more harm then good.

He is a talent and has the size, speed and skill to make it in the NRL. He will get his chance under Cleary. Reynolds seems to spend more time in rehab now and this may or may not be Benji's last year.

The more i think about it the more its his mentality that stands out.

As i keep saying there is a reason he has been named in the 21 every week,

He’s been named in the 21 each week as Ivan clearly rates him as cover in the halves. People at the club rate him and feel he has a big future. He obviously trains well and is a good club man. At some stage he will get a chance in first grade and he just has to show that he is mentally able to wait until an opportunity comes and take it.

I certainly remember his name in the team lists of late, but pretty sure that Tyson has not been named each week this year, or has he?

I don't understand we would sign Cleary. I know that he would do brilliant with Brooks in the havles but are we just gonna pay Josh Reynolds $750,000 a year just to play in reserve grade? And how much will Cleary want? He'll probably be wanting no less than $850,000.

Gamble will be a First grader, however our team has great depth this year, and there are currently better players in front of him. The coach will pick the best team to win each week. Gamble is close but you dont play him out of position, just look what the Warriors did to Tui. The season is long, Gamble will get his chance when the time is right and at half or 5/8.

Gamble looks a fantastic prospect. Not sure why some people are jumping up and down at his supporters. Hopefully he gets a chance in first grade because he won’t let Ivan down.

i think Gamble is a great player. from what i have seen (few foxtel ISP games) he is a real stand out and a class above that grade.

its a testament to the depth the club has that he isnt the starting 6 and also to how well Benji has been playing. Reynolds' cameo at dummy half also indicates to me that Gamble could very well be in with a look at 6 later on.

not meaning to just say without the facts, but I'm pretty sure a while back (when he was signed) i read that he has played basically every position in the backline up here (Redcliffe i think he came from?) and as such i agree he is a perfect 14.

Godinet has really lost me. i dont think he is up to standard, so maybe even relief dummy half for Gamble?

personally, i would like to see him start playing in the centres in ISP as i think that the squads stocks in this position are possibly the thinnest and a position i think he could fit into in the starting 13\. Im not really a Kevvie fan, but he has done pretty well this season and deserves his spot. Marsters is a given in the centres at this point, but I would be playing Gamble in the centres readying him for first grade there.

i just think he is good enough to be in the 17 whatever his role may be.

Where could we get his weekly stats from ??

I know stats aren't the be all and end all , but they can tell some stories

They are posted each week on the nswrl.com.au site, this is Round 12: https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2018/05/28/stats-amazing–isp-rd-12/

Difficult to get an idea of season stats as they're only game by game, but better than nothing I guess.
