So who had the worse end to the season? Us who missed the 8 again or the Ponies who made the 8 and were then humiliated?

I’d say the ponies - they would be in a mess right now.

i think the broncs are just fine tbh. They'll be alright with their young forwards (Fiffita; TPJ et al) and juniors coming through.

Good morning @OzLuke: I reckon us getting a 'hammering' in a game we were favoured to win, and in front of a sell-out home crowd was detrimental enough.

IMO the 'team' played very poorly and the blame lays with no one else than Madge.
IMO the 'team' were probably worn out from being flogged at training all year and/or very poor coaching in Madge not having the 'team' properly mentally prepared and/or the 'dark cloud of Farah' hanging over the 'team'.
I could see clearly the 'team' played with more confidence when Farah missed games due to his broken leg.
Madge to his credit, in a post-game interview, said he was sorry he made the decision to ask Farah to play.

How could any thinking and reasonable coach tell a bloke "you're not fit to play but bring your gear just in case".
That's nearly as bad as telling a bloke suffering concussion from the prev weeks game 'bring your gear just in case".

IMO he is a bad man-manager and things just aren't adding up.

So to summarize your post...it's all Madge's fault? All the missed tackles, dropped balls, missed conversions and drop goals, all the physical injuries....all Madge...might be a very simple interpretation of your post and I apologize for that but it seems that Madge was the reason we didn't make the finals.....
I agree Farah should've been ruled out sooner in the week and it was an unnecessary distraction the team didn't need, but by the time he came on in the game the team had already lost that match and in all honesty shown no signs of winning it

You seriously thought we were favourites to win against Cronulla?
Your dislike of both Farah, and now Madge, is unfounded.

Would have hated to get thrashed like that, but I def would rather we had of made it just to end the absolutely constant 'the Tigers have the longest record without finals' record stuff all over AGAIN next year...as well as the constant reference to ninth place.

So, yes...even the pain of a big loss would have worth it.

Not only that which is in the media, my mind remembers only too well as each September approaches. Worse still, in this age of everything at their fingertips, how do we keep supporters such as my nine year old son with this constant failure.

It's not easy bringing our kids onboard when there's so games that we finish second. We live on the GC now and my team year old desperately wants to go to school on a Monday with bragging rights like his mates. Given the Donks season, the cows season and the Titans season, 2019 was one that has seen him sway back to the tigers. I keep telling him we lose a lot, so our wins are pretty special. Unfortunately, he really started to latch onto Matto as his favourite player. So we have another hurdle to overcome.
