Unconfirmed rumour Krisnan Inu signs with Wests Tigers

I see no reason to get overly excited about this signing…sure its a good move and he will be a good backup and stopgap player for this year, but there is no way I would put him before Lawrence,,,first choice centres at the tig's are clearly Simona and Lawrence...inu is just an insurance policy for Tedesco me thinks

I think Inu for Koroibete will happen and I think both will go on to have good seasons as a result.

I don't like Inu either but he's better than Lulia and Lulia has played a fair few games for us already. It would be a net win for us. Feel a bit sorry for Lulia but he just stands out as ineffective for us. Inu can cover all outside back positions too and Lulia is really only a centre and maybe a backrower in a pinch.

I heard a rumour today that Inu would be part of some sort of trade off with the bulldogs. They get Koroibete and we get Inu

I'll take it.

Sorry GNR but disagree, Inu is in poor form at Dogs and Koroibete has a bright future once he gets his defence right, hopefully Koro will come good, for us.

Stuff that!
Koro is 21 years old give him time, defence can be fixed he is only young!
I know he hasn't come on yet, but cut him some slack.
He's super quick and that often comes at the expense of defence.
Give him time!!!
I'd take inu but he's only good for one season, NO DEAL!!!
Remember if pat or nofo go down injured who do we have??? Not many!
It'll come back to bite us, mark my words…..

I've never been a fan of stockpiling wingers. We've got Richards, Nofo, Simona. If a winger gets injured we move a centre out there if there's no-one else performing in reserves.

When Moltzen comes back he can slot out there too.

Swapping Koro for Inu isn't the dumbest of moves the club can make. I agree Koro is fast but that's all at the moment. He gets found out to often in defence and under the high ball.

But like everything, money talks. I'm sure he'll stay but he'll have his price range.

There are other things besides outright speed that a winger needs to reach first grade standard. For example around the early 90's Balmain signed an Olympic/Commonwealth games sprinter to play wing. He certainly had speed but his positional play and defence were not up to first grade standard. Koro's speed is natural therefore he needs to spend most of his training time improving his defence and positional play. Not until he improves on these areas could he really be considered to be a first grader.

Darren Clarke - what an out-of-the-box idea that was.

Would of been better off sticking him in a bobsled

Now this would be an interesting signing. He has plenty of versatility and is also a good goal-kicker. He is by all reports pretty laid back to the point of being called lazy, like Mark Waugh once was. These sort of players excel when in a happy frame of mind off the field.

I'm not sure where he fits in when everyone is fit as there is a pretty clear 1-5 preference. With someone out injured though, he is an invaluable squad member with his handy versatility. I suspect if we do get him, he won't be affecting our salary cap too much.

I wouldn't sign him unless we lose one of our backs with a season ending injury, that no one else could slot into but I don't see this happening, this was originally a April fools joke so why are we still talking about it, yes he would be an O.K signing but it's not going I happen

The hint in another thread was Teddy was being courted by an out of town club who were waiting on somebody already on their roster to make a decision. ( raiders and Milford is what comes to mind )

This is closer to the mark.

milford was never going to stay in Canberra. he wanted to leave 12 months ago and was willing to sit out a season. you don't have to be a brain surgeon to realise that Canberra held no hope of holding on to him. Good to see fifita contract heading to the courts. potter said Tedesco 80/20 staying and likewise teddy has been trying to get supports to Campbelltown. why would he care about this if he was leaving. just an observation

Exactly his trying to get more supports to go to the game and Nofo told him on twitter his waiting for him to re sign and im pretty confident he is staying at the tigers. And will hopefully get Inu which looks likely atm.

I wish they would decide one way or the other, he stays or he goes, this is dragging out, just about over it. would love to have him say , cant be that hard to come to get it sorted out, if hes to dear let him go, if hes cheap sign him just get on with it.

so what has happened to the INU signing, I see he did not get a call up today for the dogs. So has any one heard any more is he still coming or has that rumour sailed.
