Our goose is already cooked. We could not have had a better recruitment drive than we had leading into this season. It’s going to take a lot more than a good centre. And chances are, if we land one, he’ll underperform, as most players that come here do.

100% we had the best possible recruitment drive at the start of the year. Considering we were wooden spooners to pick up and hold onto Klemmer, Api, Bateman, Paps, etc is nothing short of a miracle. The board is 100% justified in firing Sheens for underperforming so badly.

Yes if we hire a good center, they will under-perform. I would still take an underperforming Olam or Manu over anyone in our back line. They would at least patch one side of defense.


Overall the problem is not our roster, it's our training. Players are dipping when they come here. We have had Cayless, Andrew Webster, Chris Heighington and others come here to toughen our squad up... it hasn't worked. What is wrong?

I also know we had Andrew Fifita say he knew what was wrong with the tigers and would like to come here as an assistant coach :/
