Unpopular view, but I reckon we are going Ok

I just hate the word okay, in my book okay stands for mediocrity. I say set the bar high and demand your players are dirty when they come up short. I hate when coaches give out praise when we continue to come second in a two horse race

Well it is too late speaking now, the captain who had them walking on egg shells has gone.

Handed in his captaincy badge. Quiters don't make good Captains.

We've shown enough in the first 5 weeks to suggest with some improvement in our discipline and concentration over 80 minutes that we can make the top 8.

Lets not forget that after 5 weeks last year the cowboys were sitting in 16th position before going on to finishing in the top 4 and winning the grand final. We're ahead of where they were this time last season.

We've shown signs. It isn't doom and gloom by any stretch

Because we are paying him marquee money and you are against moving him on. He is one of the impediments to us upgrading our squad to take it to the next level. So if you support us continuing to pay full freight for Farah it is a little unfair for you to call jt out for not trying to get us to the next level.

Basically do you support the coach in making the hard decisions or are you in the camp that changing a coach will change all our woes.

Oh i see what's happened here :unamused: , i criticized JT and you decided to bring out this old chest nut that was 300 pages long in the off Season .
You obviously haven't paid attention to my post in my thoughts of the whole Farah fiasco and just randomly brought Farah into it when i was talking about the team , so now i need to explain :unamused:

O.K where do i start…...

Farah and his Contract : You obviously are aware that the Club has a binding contract with Farah and that the Club can't terminate his Contract without both parties agreeing to it ? at the same time Farah has an obligation to meet all the requirements he has in his Contract .

You asked the question do i support a Coach making the hard decisions ? please explain to me what hard decision his made ? Farah was clearly told that the Wests Tigers Coaching staff instructed him that if he was to hang around , that Reserve Grade was his destination (he backflipped on your so called hard decisions) , when he realized that Farah was staying put.....he changed his verse and said that at the end of December his Pre Season training would be evaluated on how his conducted himself in his application to training and attitude , like every other player does .
Farah passed this test and JT declared him a certain starter for Round 1.....so what's your problem ? His the one that back down from his threats not me and if you want to know i couldn't care less if Farah left as he is way past it apart from his defensive work he does .

My take : I personally was appalled at the time at the way the Club handled the whole situation and if you care to go through those 300 pages you will see my posts state exactly that . JT never had the balls to front the media and answer the tough question and for Months while the Club had no CEO our brand was dragged to the mud by the media as there was no clarity from the Club .
Farah and his Manager contributed to the Circus and if i had any say on the matter ? they would both be gone....but you simply can't do that with Contracts.

I have also gone on to mention that Farah is not worth the money his getting paid but there is nothing we can do about it , if you also care to go on the LIVE game thread vs Parra i made a post saying just how Pedestrian Farah makes our attack and that he gives away to many penalties.
If he can find a Super League Club for next year ? well then obviously his done us a favour and it's not about how you stated that if i'm in full support of paying Farah the " full freight " that's irrelevant he has a Contract that ties us up to him.....don't know what you don't understand about that , JT can play him in Reserve Grade if he wants and make those hard decisions your referring to .

JT : I don't believe he is a 1st Grade standard Coach , i believe he lacks player management skills , doesn't get the respect from his playing group , has piss weak game plans , very poor bench rotation.
I can only judge him on the style of footy he had us playing especially last year ( Cowboys game and Panthers with Lovett at centre :brick: ) . He has left Buchanan for 80 minutes on the bench untouched , Cherrington 8 minutes vs the Eels and 15 vs the Sharks :unamused: , these are the things that he can be judges as Coach.
I have even tried to defend him in saying that he has had a Budgeted money purse in getting the players he has desired .
He has some very talented players at his disposal and with an abundance of Representative experienced players ( Farah , Woods , Lawrence , Halatau ) to help some of the kids.....obviously his struggling to get us playing on a consistent level for 80 minutes .
I have already said it and i will say it again that JT deserves to finish of this year as Coach , if we finish the year 13th-16th on the ladder he should see the door , 12th and better ? i'm more than happy for him to see out his final year as i'm pretty realistic with the Squad we have and that this is not a Top 8 side we have....i'll gladly be proven wrong.

As we all know he handed in such to help the club get over an impasse created by our most famous coach, whom also stuffed up on how to move Robbie constructively and respectively. Beats me why they wanted to because he seems the only guy in the team who can do a decent consistent grubber kick that's perfected weighted etc.. If the club had any brains they would not have accepted it, and to prove they don't have many they put in a dud replacement (though we all love the guy). Why should he hang in when he is not appreciated for trying to get the best out of the boys. I am just hoping that in time within a few more rounds the club will wake up to itself, it may be forced to.

Quiters need not apply.

You are entirely consistent, if Robbie got out of bed on the left side it would be wrong, if right side he would also be wrong - if rose up horizontally would also be wrong. If bobbed around on head would also be wrong.

Unlike your thoughts on Woods.

Woods may grow into the job but the club will lose out whilst he is doing so. Only that I don't see any signs of it yet so will be a slow process. Not a natural like Moses. They should have Moses deputising until Farah departed.

Until Farah departed? He quit! !!

Would it make any difference what Farah did when the coach cannot get the bench right, when half the team doesn't try for 80 minutes, when the Tigers' club is gone - him, Woods and Teddy are about the only consistents in the whole circus.

Now Gally have another go about Robbie quitting and you will sound as one dimensional as Tony Abbott on stopping the carbon tax - in the end it got him nowhere

Farah quitting is s fact not an opinion. He's the reason we have such a poor captain, in your opinion.

Don't want to buy into this little spate but you are totally wrong saying only half the team is trying. They may not be brilliant etc. but they are giving it their all.

I was very sceptical of our chances this year, and haven't seen anything to change my mind.
We signed lots of reserve graders and let a couple of first graders walk, so our squad is down on quality. Obviously the hope was that the younger guys would improve to pick up the slack - for whatever reason, this isn't happening.
We're still making the same mistakes as we were last season.
We beat two underworked teams, and have been comfortably bested since. The draw steps up a bit from here too: we have 9 games before our bye, and 6 of those teams made the 8 last year (the others are Newcastle x2, and the Raiders). Let's revisit at the bye and assess where we're at then. One whole season and 14 rounds should give us a pretty good idea where JT and this squad is taking us.
