Unsigned tigers- 2013

So if you take Tuqiri out of those mentioned, you have probably saved about $82.60 in salary cap.

Why put a full season in getting Grant used to playing league and then just hang him out to dry. That makes no sense. Groat has been rumoured to have an offer from Parra, Humble the raiders and Moltzen is believed to have accepted significantly less to stay. Utai won't be on much, Ellis is leaving and there is a good chance the salary cap will rise by $500K +.

We should have cash available without having to dump a lot of players, however I agree that releasing someone like Rhino could ease some pressure. We have a good bunch of 20's and guys like Santi, Moses, Lovett etc should be getting upgrades to keep them at the club.

Tough decisions to be made shortly, we can't resign everyone
My Top 4 to be resigned
1\. Matt Uta
2\. Matt Bell
3\. Matt Groat
4\. Tom Humble
And good luck to
5\. Jacob Miller, Tim Moltzen or Lote Tuqiri
6\. Junior Moors, Ray Cashmere or Shaun Spence
7\. Pat Politoni, Dane Chisholm, Tim Simona or Sean Meaney
No but thanks for 2012 : John Grant and Jack Spencer

Since doing this list only Moltzen has been resigned after 3000 mentions in the media of him looking to secure his future. Tuqiri is the only other person mentioned in the media at length. Humble and Miller have had small mentions.

With now the possibility of Luke Lewis in 2013 I am surprised the mangers of players like Groat, Bell and Utai have not been talking their players up as "looking to go to the UK" or "considering Union" or their love for the Tigers and wanting to stay.

No but thanks for 2012 : John Grant and Jack Spencer now joined by Jacob Miller, Lote Tuqiri, Shaun Spence, Ray Cashmere, Pat Politoni, Tim Simona and Sean Meaney

In my humble opinion from this list I would only retain:

Matt Bell…the rest I'd thank and let them move on...Moltz has resigned.

Keep em all, we need players for state cup and that ^ lot wont be on big dollars. We cant let go all our depth players to sign one or two superstars.

Fulton in talks

There was a swirl of reaction to the Inside Back's mail yesterday that for Wests Tigers to secure big-dollar Penrith star Luke Lewis it would come at the cost of stalwart back-rower Liam Fulton. While not denying their play for the Blues and Test utility, who would command upwards of $400,000 in the Tigers' salary cap, Wests Tigers officials did deny that their hunt for the 28-year-old's signature would come at the expense of the ever-popular Fulton or Joel Reddy. "In fact, we're in talks with Liam Fulton's manager about extending his deal," the club said. "He is staying, and we're very happy with Joel Reddy." No one would be happier than this scribe to see Fulton stay at the Tigers - he's one of the game's genuine characters. As recently as last year, however, while under contract, Fulton was given permission to talk with rival clubs as the Tigers looked to snare Adam Blair. In 2009, to ease the salary cap, Fulton had to leave the Tigers for the English Super League before returning in 2010.

complete myth. Sheens has a record of giving young blokes a crack.

This year he has played Sironen, Groat, Tedessco and MIller, All eliglible for NYC

In recent times he has selected, Woods, BMM, Simon Dwyer, Andrew Fifita whilst still young and looking back further, Lawrence and Benji were picked at school, Moltz, Farrah, Fulton, Gibbs, Collis, Halatau, Ben Jeffries, all were selected for NRL as teenagers. There would be many more examples of I think about it harder

Not a myth when we are talking halfbacks,Miller and Lazarus were never given a proper go like Sirro,BMM and Moltzen amongst others were, they were given 1 or 2 games here and there and basically told to feed Benji, that is not a go,Fulton could have done that role.
Hodgkinson in 2010,Cherry-Evans in 2011 and Reynolds this year, all first yearers and all were left there to play themselves in,all have made the final 8 in their first year.Sheens had 4 different halfbacks in the first 10 games, none of these players were injured all were Sheens moving blokes around. :imp:

These guys were 21/22 when they made their debut, Miller just got out of nappies. He can still make it, he is still young

Just too bad that he hasn't been given a proper run.

Miller has been given plenty of chances. He still might make it in the NRL as well but to say he hasn't been given any changes is stupid. He has been given more chances than Sirro Jnr has.

That is BS,Sirro got how many games in a row,and Miller got a game here a game 6 months later,no chance to form a combination and no security,Sirro had both, apples and oranges my friend.

You can cut it anyway you want to but Miller has had plenty of chances. There is always an excuse for him - whether it is Sheens or Robbie and Benji. All of it has one thing in common - it is an excuse.
