Looking towards the finals and next year who do you see as adding to the current line up of tigers.
**Jason Cayless** is returning - He didn't add much anyway
Tame - From what I am reading he is not playing well at all.
Moltz - The player has talent and am looking forward to seeing him play next yr (I cant see him playing in 2010)
**TNT** - Who knows whats going to happen there
I am really looking forward to seeing **Fifita** next year after a big pre season - increase leg speed and he will SMASH IT.
**Ben Murdoch-Masila** from stats this boy looks like a machine - last 2 games - 4 tries - 310m - 7 line breks and 11 tackle breaks.
What about **Meaney, Junior Roq** and others.
Thanks

P.S. I live in Asia so I only get to see NRL matchs no junior fixtures.

I don't think any of the people you list will be a factor in 2010\. I find it hard to see Cayless ever amounting to much.

Tame is a wait and see proposition I guess. He has the size but has mobility issues from the injury.
Moltzen has to be our starting number 7 next year. I think if he plays the whole year we will look a lot better
TNT is another wait and see. I really hope he can make it back on the park next year.
A Fifita will have some things to work on in the off season. Hopefully he takes it on board and comes back a better player
Murdoch-Masila is all up side. Still a bit off first grade (he needs to start for NYC) but one of the most promising juniors we've had.
Meaney in my opinion is a good solid player but he'll only ever be a fringe first grader. Good bloke to have in your squad though.
Roqica always impresses me when I see him. Love to see him get a crack next year.
I've also got big wraps for Finau from NYC.
And maybe D Fifita is starting to turn the corner as well.

I know others have got favourites from state cup!!

I hope moltzen and tuiaki return 100% of their former selfs and even better. Our attack seems to flow more when moltzen is at half. Lui seems to take a while to decide what to do and can stagger our attack and as we all saw against souths, our defence as well. I hope cayless doesn't get a run in the first grade side regardless of injuries or anything. He had no impact of any sort at the start of the year and he stopped younger forwards from breaking into the first grade side.

Seeing Sam Latu against the souths i think he could be a very good asset next year on the wing if tuiaki doesnt or cant return. He showed good speed, leg strength and his dummy half runs got us on the front foot

Moltzen is our Josh Dugan/Mitchell Pearce/Lachlan Coote …

I really felt 2010 was going to be his year.

I hope next year it's
1\. McKinnon
7\. Moltzen
14\. Lui

Lui would be a waste in the 14…he's not a bad half but I don't see any point playing him of the bench.

Fifita (get him fit in the off season), Moltzen (not a half, but a good player) Mullaney, Murdoch, Groat (will end up the best of the lot), Latu and Pritchard. Give these blokes a go and see what happens. All good for the future. BUT we need a very good half back. I would suggest to check out the pommy halves as they are usually very good.

The issue with Lui is as we all know , his defence but .. He is used at 7 , he doesnt have to be a super defender if he can create but he fails on both counts , attack and defence.. I know he is only 20 but he is not care free like Benji , with Lui you can tell he is bound by so many strings or worse shackles .. He needs to snap out of just taking the ball and passing it .. He needs to own the match , let his instincts take over and dominate..Lui is more predictble than my wife .He has scripted runs where he tries to make a line break .He kicks when Benji and Robbie cant and everyone still knowes not to fear our 7.Atleast with Molzten not a lot knew about him but he was still able to take advantage of the line break. When you are a no one at 7 opposition dont pay attention to you and thats where you can step up and take adavantage. If you are as marked as JT oppostion have to watch every move and its harder to break the line but if you are as good as JT you still can do the impossible

I would say its pretty obvious Moltz will get first crack at the 7 next year. I'm also in the minority who dont believe he is a Halfback, but at least he will offer better value than Robert. I still think Tim is a 5/8 or Centre and over time, I believe he will be a Superstar of the game.

It will be interesting though… We have only seen Tim play 7 when opposition defences where 100% focused on Robbie and Benji. I dont think Moltz will get that luxury next year, so lets hope Tim gets a full recovery on his knee and puts on a few kg's in the off-season.

Wish List: 1 x Experienced Prop and 1 x Experienced Halfback 😛ray:

Upcoming and returning players…Moltzen for starters will be a welcome return, provided he is used as halfback and not fullback. With McKinnon being re-signed, I would suggest this will be the case. I have a good feeling we will see Tuiaki return.

As far as upcoming players go, I'll be keen to see Aaron Woods finally back in action after missing this season, the Fifita brothers, Simon Dwyer with another off-season under his belt, Junior Roqica, Ben Murdoch and Jake Mullaney.

I agree with u Moltzen isnt a halfback. He's clearly a 5/8\. I disagree about him being a centre, unless he can put on 10kg and not lose speed then i just cant see him succeeding there. Sometimes, i wonder if we'd be a better side if we had Moltzen at 6 and a genuine halfback at 7\. Im not saying we should let Benji go, its just that id love to see how Moltz would go at 6.

You guys seem to forget we did away with a halfback when Prince left…

We have Benji, Robbie and......................

Moltzen complments them the best I've seen ...Most of his best work came as a second reciever down the right wearing 7 ....Allowed Benji down his prefered side...Although I'm not to sure of late.....

I just want Benji to RUN

I have 2 predictions. Firstly, if Sheensy goes, Benji will soon follow as he would have a get out clause in his contract if Sheens is not the coach.

Or If Benji stays, i would like to see him at fullback, Moltzen at halfback and Lawrence at 5/8.

I dont think the Tigers have lost a game with Moltz at half. I am not sure how you can say he isnt a halfback when he has had such little time in the role. He is very active there and makes breaks, backs up well, I think it suits him and he could be one of the best in that position.

It's a nice stat, but over a period of time there is a big chance it won't mean much… Go back and review Daniel Mortimer of 2009\. It's was pretty impressive also, but 12 months later??? Those things are great for placing a bet until the bubble pops, and then you need to draw back to actual football knowledge to find a winning bet...

Look closely. In Tim's case it's most obvious with his feet. A good Halfback's strength comes with their ability to play Flat-Footed and work players around the ruck. Scott Prince and Brett Kimmorely are 2 very good examples. Tim is always moving and works players at pace to create his best work, hence he plays like a Five Eighth. It's a lot more complex than that, but it is 1 obvious point.

Look back up to Geo's last post. He is right in what he say's (we just don't tell him to ensure he doesn't get a bigger head) and Tim finds good line movement down the right. With Tim & Benji playing Right & Left, we are essentially playing 2 Five Eighth's...
