Where does the NRL draw the line though. Does every bloke who does a knee or a hammy at the end of his career and never plays again deserve a payout? You would think not. Shame that Taniela played the race/colour of his skin card in the interview as well IMO. Fair enough if he is not happy with his treatment by the Tigers or NRL but don't go down the racism path for attention.

I didn't see the interview. If he played the race card as you say then yeah it's a real shame. Unfortunately in today's society it seems to be the automatic fallback when something doesn't work out.

I didn't see the interview either Furious1, but it is there in the article from the Telegraph. Funny how it wasn't mentioned in the article that WT set him up with a job after his career ended (if they in fact did that) as many people claim to know that they did. One-sided journalism yet again by the looks of it. All the best TNT, you were a bloody joy to watch at your devastating best.

FTB I saw it mentioned in a newspaper article and the club mentioned something about it also , so that's why I brought it up

I don't know for sure either way , but I haven't seen it denied so I'm assuming it was correct

Fair enough Happy, I haven't heard too much about the whole issue TBH. I would say the Telecrap left that important detail out to give their story more impact when it came to fan and public response. Would be pretty peed off with WT if they just left TNT to fend for himself, but they set Dwyer up with employment after his injury so you would assume they would of shown TNT the same respect.
