Saw the Ghost Story thread, and thought this could be an interesting dichotomy.

One i just posted was the story of the Bunny Man. Its more appropriate in this kind of thread though

We have had one just recently in Gladstone

A fair few years ago an accident occurred where a young woman was killed in an car accident on Benaraby Rd up near the industrial area and the Go Kart track

A Saturday a few weeks ago people reported seeing a woman frantically walking looking dishevelled on Benaraby Rd which is quite a busy road , it is the road you turn off from the Highway that also links Boyne island and Tannum Sands to Gladstone .

The police went down looking for her , and couldn't find her despite one female officer actually seeing her moments after another report was received and when she turned around no one was there

They spent 5 hours with the entire dog squad and found absolutely nothing

Suburb outside of Newcastle - Medowie…
Bit of a nowhere'ville nothing town.

Apparently there is a monster out there called The Medowie Yowie.
My girlfriend's dad and cousins use to go fishing out there, they reckon it's legit.

Said it's a tall hairy beast that lurks around and they reckon they saw it once.
I don't believe it, nonsense.

Few google results turn up results though.
 
Been through Medowie, probably just one of the locals…

There's heaps floating around. I know it's not really an urban legend as much as unsolved crime but the Zodiac killer always freaked me out.
