OFFICIAL US election discussion

Gen Z are coming out for the GOP.
They are driving much needed change.
The left have gone way too far with their social crap.
They have embarrassingly covered up Biden's condition for the entirety of his term and then threw him to the gutter when they could no longer squeeze anymore use out of him.
The lawfare they have engaged in has been shameful.
They lie, and cover up and gaslight and mislead. This election is the chance to send a message.
It is going well so far.
Without talking about Trump or Harris or any particular policy, what seems to be happening around the world is people are rejecting career politicians and are voting for people that are not part of the political class or at least they are voting for politicians that have talking points in line with the average citizen and are willing to call out things that don't really make any sense.

I think the campaign landscape has changed also where they have opportunities to fully discuss their philosophy via long form podcasts and their own channels and platforms...this is quite new in the scheme of things. The more they talk, the more they are either loved or hated based on their ideas rather than 1 minute clips and sound bites or edited, short form TV interviews.

Trump and Farage seem to have uncovered a winning formula, but there's no denying people feel strongly about the issues they talk about.

In the scheme of things it is a huge wake up call to the political classes (even conservatives cough cough Britain) that ultimately they will get voted in, only if they are listening to the people and delivering what the public wants.

The left hasn't got the memo yet, but they'll work it out eventually and things may actually become more sensible.

Sadly for the US, Trump is either loved or hated...nobody has ever said he's just "ok". By nature of his existence, he invokes strong reactions and that isn't good for American society...there's not one Democrat that will ever concede anything positive about him before he invokes these strong feelings, but he is just a symptom of the really issue...people have felt they are not heard. Perhaps this is the circuit breaker needed to change politics for the better...the politicians serve us...not the other way around

Thank god someone finally said it. Trump is a businessman first. Tariffs are a negotiation tool. The year 7 level of economics parading around like they have a doctorate of economics on this thread is embarrassing.
The man said it himself. People just like to add stuff that's not been said.

Trump will use tariffs in 2 ways:

1. The threat of a tariff to have one removed on US exports.

2. A tariff to encourage manufacturing to return to the US in select industries. Say, semiconductors.

He is not an idiot...he will sure up manufacturing on US soil first and add the tariff after to discourage a repeat of the issue. he is not going to stifle supply and trigger further inflation by adding huge tariffs on day one.

In theory, this could be really good for the US if it works as intended.

If anyone actually listens to him when he can focus on one topic, he lays it out pretty clearly. The trouble is he is easily distracted from topic to topic haha

We really should mention the purposefully misleading polls in the closing days.
Dems were supposed to win Iowa by 3 points. The GOP carry’s it by 13 points! When commentators said the Iowa narrative was incorrect, they were labelled as desperate liars by the media.
Dems were tipped to flip Texas by some…Trump takes it by 14.
Likewise Florida. Trump took it by the biggest margin in 36 years lol.
There is nowhere on the results map where Harris has done better than Biden in 2020. The scum who performed the coup - Pelosi, Clooney, Clinton’s, Obamas etc….you caused this and are too cowardly to own it.
Trump will take all the battleground states. Likely to end up on 312 electoral votes.
They flipped 4 states in the Senate and have won back control. Likely 53 seats to 47.
The Senate, the house, the presidency and the popular vote as well… Modern day landslide.
It’s everything I hoped for…took a lot of shit over the past year for saying so…happy to be proven right.
