Utai At Centre

Tbh im not a fan of this, im hoping Shifty will switch him with Brown. Why dont i like Utai as a centre?

- His defensive reads are not to crash hot and centre requires you to read a lot of plays and i think he could get found out rushing out of the line

- he lacks the ability to put his winger away

- Hes never played there before

on the brightside he will be able to get his hands on the ball more and be able to do what he does best and that is put his head down and run hard, though i would prefer him coming off the bench and playing the last 10 - 15 mins of each half as a real impact player, like what Fifita gave us when he first came into FG

I think that I remember a couple of years ago he played centre for the Bulldogs' State Cup team(?) in a Grand Final against one of our teams and cut us to pieces. We couldn't handle him at all. I realize that !st Grade is a different standard, but he can do it. Good luck to him

is there a chance lawrence could be back early??

Possibly against the Sharks. No chance against the Titans.

yeah hopefully we get to use him off the bench prior to the semis, would be good for him to have a bit of a hit out before hand…

back on utai, i think he'll do well in centres... first try scorer special!

He spent almost the entire game against the Eels inside Brown - it's all good don't stress!!

In attack he did yes, but how many times did he pass the ball to brown?

For a stop gap measure okay, but really I hope he isnt been judged on how he went against Smith and Horo 2 back rowers playing with a 3 and 4 on their back. For the life of me I cant see why Brown gets the shunt every five minutes, I think he has every right to feel a little dirty. Maybe Sheens dosnt want to increase his demand in the market place!!!!

He can pass? :astonished:

He's pretty good at the through the legs pass.

Very True… he was so good at it he actually stopped gould from expressing his love for galloway for a minute or two.

Watched the replay again last night & Utai played a fair bit inside of Brown in attack, Iam sure the Fonz knows what he is doing.

Apparently he played a bit in the centres for the dogs. Think we will be ok against the Titans and Sharks but wouldnt want to see him lining up in centres in a final!
