Utai signs a 1 year extension

right ok, very glad the club decided to keep Utai on for another year, but…........who the hell is making these decisions? what if the coach doesn't want these players? unless of course they already have a coach on board.....
 
Glad to have Matt for another year. He deserves the contract. Has put in the effort when asked to.

Yep I agree totally. He deserved another year based on effort and attitude alone.
 
he'll start over nofo for sure.

he deserved it.. i've never been a fan of utai and all through the year, asked for him to be dropped coz i always thought his defensive liabilities will cost us one day. he's proved me wrong, yet i still have that fear. good luck to matty, thoroughly deserved it.
 
A couple of things

1\. Robbie said the contract had been 'inked' so that means it must have been taken out of Stephen's bottom draw and actually signed by both parties
2\. Inked could mean that Insaneink might actually be Stephen and it was he who approved it
3\. The club must have selected a new coach

Thanks Ink..made me laugh. on another crap night in Auckland..glad only got 1 week left here this trip..if you think we are going mad about coaches/players you should read the stuff on the Warriors forum..125 pages of it
 
He tries his heart out but he is not what we need in first grade on the wing.Too old and too slow we need speed out wide and i fervently hope that he and lote arent our starting wingers

They may not have a coach, but it hasn't stopped Wests Tigers from re-signing players. Matt Utai has just signed a one-year extension with the club. ''He's been in almost career-best form and has finished the season really strongly for them,'' said Utai's manager, Giancarlo Lombardo of GLT Sports Management. ''He's looking forward to a big 2013.''

Every player in our team should be on 1 year deals just like Utai… I believe this is his 3rd 1yr deal...

Congrats Matt you deserve it! I saw him at the servo the other day, stands as tall as my chest but twice as wide as me haha.
