I would say the Holmes thing is like 99% of the other rumours that pop up on this site, pure speculation with basically no hope of happening. Personally I think he is just what we need and I am not concerned about his form over the years when wearing the no1 jumper.

I'm concerned about the 'me first' rather than what's best for the team attitude. It certainly goes against Cleary's culture that he's trying to instil.

If it we're me, I would take a punt on Meaney and save our cash for N Cleary. I say that because Thompson is an extremely solid option to slide in if Meaney doesn't live up to the hype.

I'd really like to see Lolohea given a run at centre in ISP when he is fit - he is obviously out of favour at FB and won't push Reynolds or Benji out 5/8 and 14 spot. The guy is a real enigma - he does some really good work but just doesn;t fit in anywhere - he is very much like Owen Craigie.

Good comparison, he is built like him, has the talent but severly lacks the desire just like Craigie.
