He is an Australian/Qld Rep and has won a premiership… although he didn’t go gangbusters at fullback he was playing behind a pack that wasn’t doing too well... they also didn’t really give him any time to prove himself.

As a fullback, I’d rather Thompson. I’d take him as a winger though. If he’s been constantly overlooked as a fullback, you have to believe there’s something to it.

I think that Holmes is a good player. He sees himself as a fullback, but the coach at his current club does not. I am sure we have been down this path before.

Apparently Greg Eastwood and Robbie Farah have also approached the tigers, frustrated that they are not getting opportunities at fullback at their current club.

Agreed. He is a great ball runner and finisher. A talent yes, but he lacks the ball playing nause which is now required to play fullback.
How does he go under the high ball? Because i cannot fault Thompson. He has been great for us. One thing is for certain people, Nofa won’t see out his contract with us.
