It is common Knowledge that 9 Picks the first games of the round…
It is also common knowledge that It happens late....
NO ONE agrees with it... Especially those of us who travel from Interstate to most games.
It's unfair.... But to even remotely suggest that the WT powers that be simply "Don't Care" Because it is only Wests is proposterous....
Those "Once Again" Hard Done by Wests Stalwarts may want to remember back to when the Heritage Match was changed from the Tigers / Rabbits game earlier in the year to the Wests / St George game to mark the anniversary....
I didn't see a "No Body Loves Us" Thread back then.....

Changed as in you mean balmain had the previoous 5 and were slated for the sixth before a sudden change meant wests got the sixth(then lost it). This jv has been going for over 10 years and I thought we were beyond this us vs them mentality but unfortunately the ex wests aint to blame its the cefreakingo and some ex balmain who refuse to acknowledge what is fair in a 50-50 jv.

Mate!!…. Seriously???
At one point you guys will realise the glass really is half full...
The game is 6 Weeks away... Why put a dampner on the Tiges and all the good Footy from now until then.
Realistically, How many WT fans on here were about to witness this match?

And the Word "Joint Venture" is so 1999….
I have shares in the Commonwealth Bank, Does that mean I get to tell the CEO how to do his job?
Why would I want to???
The WT ceo is there for a reason, As am I....
Him to run the show, Me to Support it.....
How ever the events play out.

Yes i wait for the day the glass is half full instaed of 1/6th full. Its quite obvious not alls well in tigerland for some time now and while you continue to ignore that and throw mud at the guy who knows you wont be supporting a winning football team.Think about what do you want in life throw mud around will nilly or be able to say you follow a happy winning football team.Childish Tantrums will not stop me Mate.

I'm not throwing mud at anyone…
I just want everyone to enjoy what we DO HAVE.
Maybe all is not well in Tigerland, What can you or I do about it.
Whineing and NOT enjoying the footy, Or NOT supporting the players and staff hardly seems productive?
I am a fan, And until I am a CEO (Which like most of us here... WILL BE NEVER!!)
I'll stick to what I know.....
Following the WESTS TIGERS!!

All this hoo haa about celebrating a premiership that we lost.... ARE YOU SERIOUS??

Yes batboy your not throwing mud at anyone but my comment was in regards to others.Batboy enjoy the football mate but sometimes in life when you see an issue you can do one of two thiings keep smiling and enjoy life or you can fix the issue then smile and enjoy a greater life.I agree whineing does no one no good but fixing an issue well then that does plenty.

I agree mate, There are times you can fix the issue….
I don't know who you are or what you do for a crust, Maybe you are Humpa???
If you are in a position to put a band aid on some issues... Go right ahead.
But if you aren't... All this hostility is not healthy.
Get down to C'town tomorrow night... And bring 'em home ay??

Its all about the effort made for the tigers compared to the token effort made for wests you guys are acting off statements im acting off actions.

Ultimatley though you are working off a perception that nothing has been done over and above a "token effort" We don't know the exact goings on behind the scenes so it is a little rich to make such a statement.

I understand you feel a level of being ripped off by this move and that in itself is understandable but to be quite frank when you bundle it all together into one grouping of a, for want of a better term, conspiracy to devalue the Magpies history than it comes across as zealotry with little willingness to have an open mind when approaching the issue.

I think your passion is appreciated on issues but there is a line where you can go from concerned fan with genuine greivance to ranting looney looking for any scrap to lend credence to a conspiracy theoruy targetted at the Magpie brand.

And thats where the problem lies Smeg while you yourself say you dont know the exact goings on.I do.So while you throw words like zealotry and conspiracy around towards me,I will say its disrespectful towards me as I do know whats going on.But keep up the good work as moderator you do a great job 99.9999% of the time.

So you are aware of every conversation that was held in regard to this issue?

Is this first hand information in you being there or second hand coming from somebody else?

If it is second hand it, like all second hand information, goes through its own bias etc. If it is third hand it is diluted again etc etc.

If it is first hand than it would be remiss of me not to ask why you didn't do more yourself as you would have to be intimatley involved in the process to know the exact goings on

I can tell you first hand that Wests tigers are going thru a harm minimisation to the tiger brand at the moment.Due to poor decisions that have been made including but not limited to having to lose players who were well respected within the club and the $187,000 fine that came with that.Counter productive decisions towards promoting and increasing support amongst our fans in fastly expanding area aswell to name a few.

I am asking specifically about this issue. About all of the conversations that have taken place on the issue of this topic.

One issue I do have with the statement you made in the last post is the link you seem to establish that losing the players has somehow directly resulted in a fine when this is not the case at all. But we can discuss that in another topic so as not to sidetrack this one.

As such my query remains. Is your information First, second, third or further hand in regard to all conversations held on the issue of the moving of this game?

The fine was because of the salary cap miscalculation so we then lose players its most certainly joined.

I have already told you its first hand so im a little unsure how your query remains?Issues?

So you were in the room when these conversations happened between the CEO & the SCG Trust, The NRL and the 9 Network?

Given how important this issue is to you why didn't you do more to push the case? Not a veiled dig at you but I am curious as to how it went down.

In regard to the fine if we were not seeing Todd Payten retire at the end of the season and Wade McKinnon was not moving on I may be more likely to agree with you. However it seems other were let go because they are searching to secure better talent

so let me get this straight.

we keep the game at scg and some people get to see the celebrations

we move it to sfs and no one gets to see the celebrations

some people seeing it is better than none

there will only be 1 50 year anniversary. another stupid move by wests tigers management :brick:
