Very confident

Last week I thought Souths would be beyond us, though the fact we competed didn't surprise me. I'm feeling the opposite though this week. The Dogs aren't the team people think they are, they're overrated and they over achieved last yr. All we have to do is match them In the forwards.

The pack matched up yesterday and we have a short turnaround. Their back line is no worse than the bunnies as well, so we will do well to win.

If we fold a couple of their forwards in half early in the piece, they'll go to water.

Our pack doesn't seem to fear anyone of size. Should send Taupau after the biggest bastard in their pack and get him to lay them out a couple of times.

Different mindset in our pack this year, we could get them… let's see how we pan out with injuries/suspension first because we'll need our best on the park.

Can't really use the game against Souths as litmus test for the season, as both sides were ordinary for the most part. Next weeks game against the Dogs and rnd 6 against the Warriors will give us a good insight as how the team stacks up.

I like the dogs this year. If they had of had Ennis for the GF it might have saved us all the endless Souths love fest

It's no good our forwards carving up their forwards and making inroads if our backline doesn't complete the hard work…..that was very obvious yesterday, our backline must be as competitive as the forwards or the hard work is for nothing....

The dogs bench will be Kasiano, Klemmer, Pritchard and Browne. Can we match that?

Hopefully they play better then they did yesterday

Well they can't play any worse. I think they're due for a more improved and consistent performance. Hopefully they do it this week

That bench of the dogs will fold and cut our bench to bits

We just need to score points when our starters are on. A couple of tries will get the confidence up and we will be away.

Our pack will match theirs. The attitude amongst our pack is great to see, they all are backing each other and playing with confidence for the whole 80.

Our halves really need to take ownership in order to get us over the line this game. They're being set a good platform but are struggling with some of their decision making late in the tackle count I feel. I know they'll improve with experience and as their confidence grows, but they are looking a bit timid at the moment.

Brooks needs the confidence to run the ball

Have to agree with this. They seem to be sticking to attacking structures too strictly & aren't confident enough to play what they see - opposite to the Benji years. I hope they find a happy medium soon, they certainly have the talent to.

I'm not overly confident this week. Short turn around, a few bumps & bruises, potential suspension to Richards. The dogs have a monster pack & we can't allow them to get on a roll.

In saying that, surely we're due a breakout game!

They both do I feel. I can only recall Moses running once or twice this year and that was because he was stuck with the ball in his hands when the defence rushed up or something similar. He ran with heart every time he had the ball when he had to play fullback, and now he seems to have lost a lot of confidence. He's certainly not scared to get dirty on defence though. Has defended well this year so far.

Their bench is superior to ours and if Woods is out we're no chance, I'll say that right now. This will be another battle of the forwards but I don't think we'll be able to hold them out with Woods, Galloway and Taupau off the field together. For that reason I'd be inclined to move Taupau back to the bench for impact. I'd even be inclined to start Buchanan at lock as he's a good defender with a high workrate.
