Video Games

Yep goodbye to physical media. You no longer own the game, you can no longer resell it. You can no longer lend the game to a friend. You can no longer buy second hand games. They will lose alot of gamers because of this move.
Would you say that old games are discounted rather heavily making them the same or cheaper than second hand games? Also far easier to find than before?

So joints like EB games will disappear...like Netflix did to VideoEzy

EB is almost gone now.
Lucky if half the store is games.

Be interesting what this does to the retro game market over the next 10-20yrs time.

Teenagers of today who have been massive gamers if history follows will at some point want the physical copy to relive their youth but the next era won’t know anything different. So investment wise some games and consoles could be worth alot more.

As long as consoles exist, physical discs will be used for the next few years. But you're right, they will become redundant.

Samsung is paving the way and has built a console directly into their tv's.

The move to digital games has been happening for many years especially PC games, look how dominant Steam is as a market supplier(you always only get a digital copy) and you don't even "own" that but just have the right to use it on the Steam platform.
I am sure my terminology is incorrect but i can't describe it any other way.
